New Version - Unable to merge track and form a junction?

Can anyone confirm? I cannot seem to get track to merge together. I get the pink outline like it will merge but then get a something bad happens error everytime. I have tried multiple track types and subtypes, ie yard..

I've got the same problem.
When merging track, make sure 'snap to terrain is unchecked'. Also make sure the ends of the track you are merging are at the same height.
This works for me.

yes and my own tracks can confirm this too.

Before the update was possibile to create a piece of track between 2 different pieces with different heights and now the same thing crash RW.
This is a great new bug.. mmm sorry .. feature.

Mine crashes too in the editor. But try to build the track with 2 pieces instead of 1. It worked for me.

It worked for me.

Try changing a curve already in place with a curve with a bigger radius, in the middle of 2 straight pieces of track, without deleting the first curve or the straight tracks... CRASH.
I have done this with RS from day one so for me is a bug that needs to be fixed ASAP...

yep mine too try building a loop and converging back to the main line crash................not happy it was working 2 days ago!!!!

Same here guys, mainly with Junctions. Lay a junction, it doesnt render correctly. Re-lay juction, BING...Something bad has happened

Hi,

I have had all the problems you are talking about only since the update. Now they have all gone again and all is back to how it was, Why?. Well, I got steam to verify my files and straight after an update it came back and said 7 files needed to be re down loaded so of it went and updated its self and all my problems with the most basic of track laying dis-appeared again. I did sent a dump file after every "something bad". Not going to waste one second of my time on the WHY? just getting back to building my dream layout

Hope this is of some use in overcoming the most fundamental of problems for a few more than just me

After a restart I saw sometihing about two files > " . net" and DirectX

Tried on new clean route I use for testing ideas. Fails and get railWorksProc2.exe stopped working. Got Steam to verify files. One fault. Hopefully downloaded. However this did not cure problem in my case. This procedure worked a few days ago. Wonder how many other problems will show up? Can we uninstall update ?

You know.... I did uncheck the "snap to terrain" and now it works fine.
No problems anymore with rendering junctions etc.

Before, even on flat terrain I had this problem.

I learned this "trick" from somebody here but I cann't find it or him anymore
