It's a shame you can't upload the Tornado re-skins because they look brill!

Thanks for your feedback! The headboard is still there but it is now transparent. To achieve that I changed the shader for the relevant texture file to transparent by editing the geometry file and created a black and white alpha for the texture. That's why I am not able to upload this reskin as that would clearly be an infringement of copyright if I were to upload it.

Nice work!
It's a wonder that rsc didn't include a version sans headboard so people could make reskins like this. Conspiracy theorists would might say that it was contractual, but I would like to think they will provide such a model in a future pack update.

Thanks for the comments.

The next loco that I'm doing for the Talyllyn route, is a model of Dolgoch, as currently running in red livery:-

Come on,someone tell the A1ST to allow people to reskin it,without headboard, advertise it,it is quite obvious that sales wouldn't go down!! Either that or someone should be allowed to make reskinned headboards, with the website of the A1ST on the bottom.

Those are such lovely reskins, really gutting that we won't get them because of ridiculous modern society :(

Hi Almark

I accept and agree that I should not upload my reskin of the A1. This is because it would only work with an amended geometry file. If I were to upload that particular file then those people who have not bought the tornado pack would be able to acquire it for free. Besides being unfair to RW it would be illegal. I should add that my reskin only looks good because of the excellent work put into the original model by the RS team. I hope they will produce a version in BR Green for everyone to enjoy and I suspect they will because of their recent announcement about new versions of the Jubilee and V2.

Best wishes

People in the past have uploaded payware reskins in the form of just uploading the texture and engine files. As that way people will NEED to have to copy the shape files from the original pack :D And jubilee new version? whats this? I knew about the new GA reskin though

While it is a shame that reskins of Tornado are not aloud< we must remember that the A1 Steam Trust is being this restrictive so that the money is there ready for the first 10 yearly. As Almark said though, it's not likely that there would be a reduction in sales. Ah well...

Oh, good ng engines there Kevin. The DHR engines on BBC were excellent. :)

Looks great, Derek.

BSC livery or some other private industrial outfit would suit, too :)
