Yes Pat - that's a 4F 0-6-0 number. Should be in the 80000 series - I'm sure they'll get it right.

As long as I am able to get 80125 I shall be happy, worked on many times during the late 1950's and a few good footplate trips as well. a couple over the Forth Bridge to the Waverley.

Odd not sure what numbers you are reffering to as on DT site they show pics of 80051 which is correct number range. and damn what A beauty of a model 80136 will be very nice at WSR

Superb model; DT have nailed the grubby black loco texture. Any thoughts about making the tender version, ie the Std 4 4-6-0?

The varients are planned, as soon as this model is finalised, the mesh will be sent to me, and I'll then look at making the varients. I've a fair amount on at the moment, so I can't give an ETA on those, it depends on the work involved.

All the numbers available will be offered, with the model having two subtle varients, the standard varient, with four lamp irons, and the SR varient, with six. The SR varient will have, logically, the numbers of SR allocated examples, and the standard varient will have the other numbers. We also plan to offer 80135 in current BR green livery, for the sake of completeness.

The textures are something we're fairly proud of, it's taken a long time to get them to this stage, one of the first tricks was to get the correct base colour, oddly enough, it's actually an extremely dark purple (Blackberry Black!), and after that, everything just seemed to sit right.

Well done Tom. It would be nice to have disk rather than lamp codes on the BR(S) version. I certainly hope we'll see disk codes on the WC.

I'm curious to know what the yellow triangle on the bunker sides signified - route availability? - and when it was first applied. Photos I've seen of 4MTs in 1950s livery don't show this symbol.

To answer my own question, it seems the yellow triangles were unique to the Southern Region and indicated that the loco was fitted with water treatment equipment. Previously this was signified by a yellow dot but this changed to a triangle at a date variously described as mid 50's (to distinguish between types of treatment installed) or early 1960s (to avoid confusion with the WR's route availability symbol). I don't recall seeing the triangle on early BR locos so I'd guess the latter is correct.

Obviously changed on the DT site since my posting - when I looked it had a 44xxx number belonging to an LMS 4F 0-6-0.

Yes I do know the old 4Fs 44222 at CVR currently when repaired . Must of changed then indeed
