ProjectPlatform (Railworks) NG models

Post by kevmt »

For people who don't normally visit the railworks forums then Project platform is a charity project that will be undertaken by RS.com staff and will include work from a number of creative people from the Rail Simulator/Works community.

The collective team will produce an addon for Railworks (from start to finish) in 24 hours, this addon would then go on sale on steam for a modest price (TBD, but we were thinking under £10)

All money that would normally go to RS.com would be donated to charity.
There are so many charities out there that need the funding, but the charity chosen for this project is;

The addon will be called Phorum Peninsula, a small island on the south coast. The island is lucky to have a standard gauge, Tramway and Narrow Gauge railway system!

I was asked if I could supply a set of NG rolling stock for the project, and was more then happy to oblige. Since I haven't been working on much NG over the last few months, and so have not been posting in this forum, I thought you might be interested to see what I've ended up "donating" to the project :-

As the railway doesn't exist yet, the P.P.N.G.R. owners have been giving their rolling stock a try out on the Talyllyn Railway :)

Many thanks to Steve Pontin for allowing me to post pictures of my stock on his upcoming "Talyllyn Railway" route :)

More info on the project, and info on the standard gauge side of things, can be found at :-

Have to say that I've enjoyed working on these and reckon a few more NG models may be on the way.

Thanks, John.

Have to say that of all the trainsims I've used, Narrow gauge works and looks better in Railworks :)

Cheers,

Kevin

Hi Kevin

Progress with the Project is going well and the narrow gauge railways have a big part to play in this route. Great stuff :D
