Hi ,
i want to make my Trainz route in RW.
But i have a coordinate problem .
I use a centre of the route the town Alausi
2°12'06.06" S
78°50'45.03" W
this gives :
long 166223.907638550
lat 9778633.83398683
zone 44
but in game , i get at the starting point :
lat 8658570.000
long 151.00041
and the lat counter doesnt change when i move ; the long counter does .
What can be the problem ?

Problem solved .
First tiles of terrain extracted .
Now , that town is at 2360 m ; how can i get at that hight with my camera to see how it looks .
The usual camera movements doest seem to help much .

Thats also solved .
Can you make the view distance longer ? I have only the settings high, medium and low detail , but no distance slider or so .
The mountains becomes so fast white/ grey blobs , instead of mountains.
Can you make the ground transparant , so that you can build folowing baseboards placed just under the ground ?

The max drawing distance for the terrain is now still limited to 5 km.
RW lacks for the distant mountain facility, so this kind of routes are difficult to reproduce ina realistic way.

RS didn't say any word about if they are implementing or not this feature.
Personally I'm very interested in this problem since my route is located at Alps feet so DM are very important.

I was refering to the closeby mountains.In Trainz you can see them with the applied textures,here you see only a monocolor spot.
When you start building such a route , you see how much is missing; a.o.mountainriverlofts and textures,terraintextures.
I wait to the end of the month to see what they have changed to the core, and if the plugin for Max 2010 is finaly online . The only version available for the last 6 months and stil no plugin.

Ah, ok.
The terrain is painted up to 2Km. Further is painted with the monochrome color specified in the route blueprint.
