Hi all,
any ideas where the following missing assets can be aquired?
I know the Robel bits were originally "Railworks depot " items but that site is presently down. :-

Re: W&B Scenario Assets
This seems a lot of payware:
DT: http://www.digitaltraction.net/mainsite/
JustTrains: http://www.justtrains.net/product.asp?pid=277
Robel: http://www.rail-sim.de/railsim/index.ph ... wn/id,226/ (freeware)
Class 66: basic class66 by steam, variants or repaints UKTrainsim, try the search function.
Good luck
Stefan

Re: W&B Scenario Assets
Thanks Stefan,
Resolved the Robel missing asset, but as for the re-skins still looking. I do have all the required payware, but why do scenario creators spend months making a scenario and then not tell anyone where the required assets can be found?
You get the scenario downloaded in minutes then spend days searching the net for the assets, so you can play it.
Oh, I also have RWTools, but not being a fully fledged afficiendo of rolling stock etc, substitution of assets can be a little hit and miss. Also substitution brings its own problems, in that, I believe in timetabled scenario's wherein the program is calling for an engine No so-and-so, if you have swapped for another engine the No's don't tally the scenario wont work.

Re: W&B Scenario Assets
Hi JohnT
I agree and think the most creators didn't remenber where they have there stock from. How to find? The rolling stock creators are very creativ to create names for the package, the upload name and the locos. Mostly very different! So the search function not often helps really.
When a good scenario creator gives the necessary information on the download page, in the forum or in an readme, be lucky and say thanks to him.
So sometimes you get rolling stock for an other route. In this case I check my uncomplete route too and oh miracle it is complete!
So be patient.

Re: W&B Scenario Assets
DT\Addon\railvehicles\passenger\mk2e_tso_arriva\mk2e_tso.bin
These were from Railworksdepot, so will need to be swapped for something else
These are all in the UKTS Library - Files 21862, 21790, 21824 & 22341 respectivelyJustTrains\Class60\railvehicles\diesel\class60\dbs-022\engine\class_60_fws.bin
JustTrains\Class60\railvehicles\diesel\class60\dbs-029\engine\class_60_fws.bin
JustTrains\Class60\railvehicles\diesel\class60\dbs-038\engine\class_60_fws.bin
JustTrains\Class60\railvehicles\diesel\class60\dbs-091\engine\class_60_fws.bin
These are all from repaints listed in the required files for the scenario, once again from the UKTS LibraryRSDL\RailSimulator\railvehicles\diesel\class66\ews-111\engine\emd_66_red.bin
RSDL\RailSimulator\railvehicles\diesel\class66\ews-173\engine\emd_66_red.bin
RSDL\RailSimulator\railvehicles\diesel\class66\ews-174\engine\emd_66_red.bin
RSDL\RailSimulator\railvehicles\diesel\class66\ews-200\engine\emd_66_red.bin
RSDL\RailSimulator\railvehicles\diesel\class66\gbrf-714\engine\emd_66_blue.bin
Hope this helps.

Re: W&B Scenario Assets
Hi Malky,
It turned out that I had D/L the RSDL repaints. But as this was the night I had D/L all the assets for W&B, I had omitted to extract these ones and place them into RW
.
The JT ones, completely missed them or could'nt find them, suffice to say all installed apart from the gbrf, which I have substituted for Rail freight I had.
he scenario now loads and runs, but unfortunately the game freezes on approaching the 3rd station, memory probs I think, but heh thats life.
Thanks for the info.

Re: W&B Scenario Assets
You could try an old MSTS trick - in the scenario, before you get to the point where it freezes, save the game, quit and reboot RW, then restart the saved game.but unfortunately the game freezes on approaching the 3rd station, memory probs I think, but heh thats life.
Cheers Bazza
Re: W&B Scenario Assets
Hi Bazza,
Tried that, it runs for another 20mts or so then the same thing happens again.
Did the run in free roam, i.e no AI, but the machine still seems to be struggling with the complexity of the route.
The dreaded stutters and momentary freezes, guess my 3.2Ghz dual core Pentium4 isnt up to it.
