Wiki Images not visable

Post by Otterbear2 »

Hi all,

Having recently decided to get my "feet wet" with route development; I have had to refer to the RW Wiki for information on several issues.
However, most examples of how things should/do look, are not shown...The image placeholder is there, but the images are not.
Although, some images do in fact show. The ones that would be of great help do not.
This is causing problems in trying to figure out how things should work.
Am I doing something wrong?
Do I need to Log-on? (I have tried, but I can't seem to find the place to register.)

I am trying, (at the moment), to create my own ground textures, and although the tutorial does explain this process in some detail, the necessary images are not available.

I am posting this question here, as we all know where sending a nice letter to RW would get me. :o

TIA for any help on this.

Hi

The WIKI is still WIP I think and there are some useful images missing. I have to admit that I still often refer to the old Rail Simulator documents which in some places are a a bit clearer than the RailWorks WIKI and I find them a easier to understand at times.

You can get the developer documents here -

http://www.railsimulator.com/en/railsimfiles

There is about 20mb of data to download but even though the documents are for Rail Simulator, most of it applies to RailWorks as well.

WOW, thanks Geoff!
That was a great help. At least now I have an idea of what I'm trying to mess up. :D

Hi Otterbear2,

As Geoff says Rail Simulator Tutorials are are very useful for working with RailWorks.

I don't know whether you are aware of this site which gives 42 RS Tutorial Videos:

It's shame about the adverts at the start of each Tutorial, but a small price to pay for the information that is available there.

Yes, I am, Rob. But thanks the same. :D
I don't get the annoying adds as I have Firefox and an add-blocker that must stop it or something as I've never seen them..thank God.
