How to get Raildriver working???

Post by bonan »

Hello! I have a Raildriver and it works just fine on Trainz and MSTS (with RDtrainfix). But it won´t work with Rail Simulator. I belive I have done everything right, but it does not work anyway. It would be good if someone could tell my, in detail, how to do. I have the MK1 & 2 updates. I have Windows Vista Home premium 32 bit on my computer. :)

If you have installed the game and our drivers to the default locations, please use these steps to patch the software:

Delete the red RDMWII icon on your desktop.
Download and install Step 1 patch here: http://www.piengineering.com/download/T ... 0patch.exe
Download and install Step 2 patch here: http://www.piengineering.com/download/T ... patch2.exe
Double click on the new red RDMWII icon on your desktop and test the RailDriver.

If the game or drivers are installed to non-default locations, please contact technical support at 517.655.5523 ext. 19.

Once you have patched the drivers:

Double click on the RD MWII icon on your desktop to start RD MWII.
The red RD MWII icon should appear in your system tray to let you know that it is running.
Start Rail Simulator and go into the options menu and choose Gameplay, Options.
Change the Control Model to Expert. This is required for the RailDriver's levers to fully function.
Save these settings and return to the main menu.
Now start your route or scenario.
When the route has finished loading select the train you want to control.
After selecting a train press the RailDriver Run/Stop button and the RailDriver will assume control.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us.
