Wow. Good spot! And here was I, foolishly thinking that it was an RSC effort, hehe.

Will we get both variants, do you think...?

Oooh, dunno! Just saw this:

...from Shane in another thread and there's a headcode box'd 20 there...

That either answers my own earlier question, or...

It would be a shame to have 2 models of the same loco, but better than none at all!
There are plenty of other locos that haven't yet been done.

Maybe Sly is going through JT this time?

Hi Everyone
It is good to see that Just Trains are supporting both RW and RS users with their latest product
This in my opinion is a sensible marketing strategy
Kind regards Stephen

Rode behind one of these at Toddington and have to admit Ive developed a soft spot for them. Always thought they looked like a Class 8 shunter on steroids. :)

Nice work by the author anyway. Hopefully we might see a version in BR Green?

Hi guys

Just to clarify the JT release is not my work.. you are going to get a choice of 20 's :D

The one in Shane's posts are mine

Cheers

Thanks for the clarification, Sly. I'm grateful (really) that we're getting a well-loved and (in my view) essential loco.

However, am I alone in feeling that this is a bit weird that two developers have both done different variants of the same class?

I can foresee there being some discontent amongst the ranks if they're each 12 quid (or more) a pop... However, that's pure speculation on my behalf. If you've any inkling of how they each may be marketed, e.g. what's bundled with them (the RSC one, at least) and so on, it may serve to placate the hordes :D

Cheers, Rik.

Duplication will happen from time to time.
Not ideal for those involved but choice is a good thing.

If they decide to do another class 60 jobbie on it, (IE 10 liveries and 0 scenarios) then I think i'll be waiting for Slys version, im sure it'll be worth the wait. :P
