General Question About DLC

Hi gents,

i'm not sure if this should be in here, but let's give it a go. I just purchased 3 items from the steam store. The Call 66, Class 158 and the IOW route. But this thing is saying that it will install directly to the game. My thought is that i need to be connected to Steam via the internet to actually use the DLC? Is this true? Do I have to be logged onto Steam for my DLC to work in the game, or how does it work. (I think I just need to log on just to download it, and install it, then I don't need Steam?) Please help me with this one.

Oh, and if you wondering, I'm at work(my day job), and RW is loaded on my pc at home, so I have to wait about 9 hours till I can actually see how these things look and work.

Yes, you do need to have steam to play, but there's an offline mode too, just look in the File menu for "go offline".

As far as I know it's how you stated, you just need to connect to the steam online to download and let it register the addons onto your game, and once they are finished you can go back to offline mode as mentioned above.

Hey guys,

So let me get this right, i'm just going to log onto Steam to download and register my downloaded content, then once it's installed and registered, I can go offline, and play the game in offline mode, with the DLC available to use and play with. I normally play RW in offline mode, so once installed and registered, I can continue playing in my normal mode(offline) and have the DLC there???

That is correct Craig, once you have the content downloaded you can resume running steam offline.
