Re: [RW] Request for reference material
Looking at a few class 73 cab photos the speedometer looks to be about the same size as a the speedometer you would find in a HST. Luckly I happen to own a HST speedometer, and i can tell you that the diameter is 14cm. I hope that helps

For... near-future reference...
Does anyone know if there are any plans for the Network Rail MPV around...?
Looked at a few of the plans on here:
http://www.barrowmoremrg.co.uk/Prototype.html
there are a few similar ones, but not of the actual MPV itself...

I've looked for that occasionally - it's actually a DB cargosprinter, isn't it?
I am after shots of the hopper inside/between frames/door mechanism of a Dogfish, the brake arrangements on an airbrake Dogfish ( both the LT ones and the BR HPA version ), any side-on or 3/4 view large shots of BR roller-bearing wagon axleboxes ( I have plenty of murky small ones already ), the inside and detail shots of a Shark ballast van, and I guess any detail shots of a Grampus. Come to think of it I haven't even looked for plans of a Grampus.
Also interior shots of Collett sunshine stock that aren't in the obvious books, I can't get out to see one myself unfortunately.

My posts are my opinion, and should be read as such.

Paul Bartlett has some wonderful photos for research. http://paulbartlett.zenfolio.com/grampuszboKariban wrote:I've looked for that occasionally - it's actually a DB cargosprinter, isn't it?

For example, here's his album on the Grampus. I've seen a few of these myself while volunteering on the Mountsorrel Railway, though obviously in a state of somewhat disrepair to be bodywork and the chassis are slightly rusty.
