Class 90 and class 20 for BVE4

Another popular Train Simulator with the notable highlight of being freeware! Also note the new OpenBVE version with many new features - well worth a look!

Class 90 and class 20 for BVE4

Post by callumpresley »

Hi

I don't know if this has already been mentioned, but...

The class 90 and class 20 are in production for BVE4: http://www.railnetwork.chicsystems.com/news.htm
:D

Any update to the present Class 90 will be welcome - impossible to get thing current version above 100mph without masses of wheelslip!

The only thing I've ever driven, on BVE or realtime, that get nervous above Notch 3!!

Judging by the quality of the 156, these should be really good. :D

This post from the Maybank author (Sir Tony  ) should help your problem, Keelar:
Classes 87 and 90 on Maybank"

For those of you who have used the default trains on the 12.00 express and 19.57 mail diagrams you will have been experiencing exceessive wheelspin. It's because the trains involved are legacy BVE2 trains and will not work too well under BVE4, whereas the route has been setup in readiness for the release of BVE4 compatible locomotives. The class 87 has been updated but needs more work to get it to run better.

You can improve matters by opening the two route files in question with notepad and using the Find command navigate to .Adhesion where you will see the command followed by a number. Replace the number with 400 on the 12.00 and 250 on the 19.57, and save the file. This should improve things until a fully compatible locomotive for BVE4 is released. When it is, you will need to remember to change the command back to its original setting.

Of course a lot of you will use BRR10 to run whatever you like on the diagrams so this will not matter.

I've been trying to run the BVE2 HST on Maybank and it won't even move.
