Looks good, although as said on the 'other forum', the tiling at Manor House is a bit too bright ;)

1. When are you planning to release the route, Tom?

2. What is the route? Cockfosters - Heathrow?

3. Are you adjusting the route to compensate for the 16 month LU closure of Terminal 4?

1. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!

2. The route as released will be Baron's Court to Arnos Grove. Eventually I will do the full line from Uxbridge to Cockfosters, before doing the Heathrow branch EB. What then? No idea!

3. As it doesn't go to Heathrow at the moment, no. Mind you, some "exclusive" runs may be possible, such as HAC - HT123 direct, and maybe HAC - HT123 - HT5...

DOC - glad you like the poster, what do you think of the rest of the shots compared to the real thing?

What is the deal with those floodgates, anyway? :-? How can they stop floods when there will be a big gap at the bottom, where the rails lie?Unless the floodgates just slide through the rails?

Or have I just wildly missed the point?

The screenies look fantastic, Tom. I await the release date, even if you won't tell me.

I was at Finsbury Park the other day (WB platform) and as I was walking towards the end of the platform I could feel as though I was walking downhill. Is there much of a decline on the track, as well?

Tom,
The screenies look excellent and cleaner than the real thing! Might just go and get BVE.

Clackers,
The floodgates were put in because of WW2. They are not the only floodgates on the system and were probably decommissioned in the 50's.

The screenies look excellent

Thanks!

and cleaner than the real thing!

Not so hard ;-).

I think there would be a short section of rail that would drop down, or staff could remove it, or something? Anyway they are decomissioned now so normal rail is there.

When FPK platforms were extended in the 30's they enroached onto the gradients at either end of the station - that's where the gradient comes from.

I believe the gradients come from when the Victoria Line was built. The W\B Picc platform in use now is slightly east of the original tunnel which you can see on the approach to Finsbury W\B and which joins up again before Arsenal. (Look out of the right-hand side of the train whilst facing the direction of travel).
The gradients are built into all Vic. Line stations but not all are severe as Finsbury. They are there to assist the train to stop (by going uphill) and to help the train leave quicker so the next train can enter. (downhill)

Hi

The steeper platforms at Finsbury Park were originally built for the Great Northern and City tube (now WAGN). That line was cut back to Drayton Park (and later connected to BR) and its platforms used to provide a cross-platform interchange.

You can tell the difference by the larger size of the platforms and the tiled roof on the Victoria Line. I do not think they had to be extended.

Paul :-)
