I have now moved the following here:

Invalid File ID [10145]

Invalid File ID [10143]

Invalid File ID [10144]

The above will not show until the files have been approved. I have no plans to release anything else I have completed.

Hi

I take it (if) they contain anything by other people, permission has been given? We don't want another debacle about stuff being uploaded without permission.

(any chance of telling us what they are?)

Yea, everything was avaliable from my website for weeks, and I had no feedback, so I presume safe to upload here. Erm . . .

Class 220 Passenger View
Class 333 (Cab Only)

Night Cabs:
HST
377
170 (Not very good, but it will do for now)
319
465

The night cabs come with no sounds, as it was easier, as I know some people do not give permission.
Hope it helps, :)

you realise that if people have to pay to download things from UKTS then they are effectively paying for BVE stuff?

I'm not knocking UKTS's policy of making people pay for add ons- for MSTS, they need to make money for their servers, etc. however making money from BVE is forbidden. none of us profit financially in any way from BVE, so why should anybody else?

when I email authors of photographs asking their permission to use photographs to incorporate into textures i always stress that no money is made from BVE in any way shape or form. now that money changes hands, the credibilty of that is destroyed. also the possiblity of textures being used without permission of commercial downloads reinforces my point.

BVE is freeware, and until mackoy starts charging for the main program, or allows add ons to become commercial then it shall remain so

MSTS things are also freeware. Some readmes say that it should not be charged, etc... Yet the yare found here.
If you do not want to pay for it, then download it free without Premium Subscription then like T-s.com! ::) ::)

Also not knocking anyone.....but I'm surprised that they have appeared as I understood Matts policy was to now...to only allow MSTS addons?

(mod note) I will allow this topic to continue but if things get out of hand it will be locked. (/mod note)

jbilton - I didn't hear that?

A potential "grey area"... people don't have to pay, it makes no difference whether they pay or not, they can still download it. Paying does not directly mean you can download the file - you can do so without paying. However, I do see your point (although I don't think Atomic makes any profit?).

Yes it wasn't pointed directly at BVE....but came out in a post on something else.....obviously Matts had a change of heart?

The bve option was still in the libarary?
Well, if it really does bother people, I can take it down, its just I have nowhere to host them anymore.

Also, TomBoyRacer, the commercial thing was totally discussed wrong. Everyone has been playing chinese whispers, and nobody has actually asked me what happened.

Feel free to lock the topic, and i know you're dying to, plus, it was just information.
Sorry for the in-flamatory tone it may have sounded, but things are more difficult than anybody knows, except Mr ATM himself.

Try Freewebs or Geocities, or failing that ask around the BVE Community, GGBve, Chaz, we are a nice community and usually host each others files.

In fact if you get in touch with Chaz, he will host them for you when his site is back online, just asked him via MSN.

It's not really bothering me that much either.
I must admit I certainly sounded a bit hostile there. I was having a bad day. as long as money isn't changing hands for BVE stuff then i've no problem.

I'm sure atomic systems are doing you a favour by hosting free of charge.

I am not "dying" to lock it, but if it gets into a flamewar, I will. But it hasn't.

Offering an easier, quicker method of downloading a file for a subsciption payment is no more charging for the files than paying for broadband to get your downloads quicker if you see my point.
Besides the payment isnt for the specific file, its for a service (we all pay an ISP or call charges so we are all paying for the files in some round about way) :)
