Anyone know how they are progressing, I dont normally ask such questions to route builders, but after 7 months with no news, I am bursting!

X-City North is on hold at the moment because I'm busy with Watford to Rugby (although around half of the X-City North project is done), however Watford to Rugby is progressing very nicely indeed and the fast line version of the route is probably around 75% done now (taking into account detail level conversions and remaining tasks), the Northampton Loop can't really be started until I get everything else done, but I have everything I need to build it and don't anticipate any difficulties.
There are still a number of things which need to be added/completed, and the scale of the Watford to Rugby project is immense, hence it's taking a while to get it done. The level of complexity is remarkable and I think it's safe to say there's nothing else quite like it available for BVE. I can't wait to start showing it off, but it has to be just right, and it's not quite there yet.
The only real sticking point with the project is the usual battle with BVE's performance because of the amount of detail modelled in the route; I really need BVE v3 for Watford-Rugby, the BVE 2.9 beta has some performance problems but is otherwise ideal, performance in BVE 2.6 is fine it's just lower-res and not quite as good at handing a cant at high speed. The detail levels will cater for most people hopefully.
Taking Slick's 321 through the Wolverton curves or though Roade cutting is a pleasing experience btw.
Cheers,
Anthony.

Oh yes the cant is there and it's accurate, the track itself is visibly canted as well and the train glides smoothly into and out of the curves without excessive rocking or lurching even at 100mph - has a very realistic feel to it, although BVE 2.9 does it better than 2.6.
Cheers,
Anthony.

I'm really looking forward to Watford - Rugby.
Watford - MK was the first route I downloaded for BVE and I remember thinking WOW this is what train sims should be like!
