Im new to BVE..

Post by Lurker »

I have been running a Class 323 on the Birmingham X City route, but when I get power up to 3 I get an alarm and message Turn on ATS power...

How do I do this.. I have checked out

http://babelfish.altavista.com/babelfis ... 2Fdrive%2F

but can only find ATS Verification, and that dont seem to accomplish anything...

Help Appreciated. Thank you
Stephen..

or you can just press insert, you should only have to do the above if you fail to acnowledge the alarm.

But now i've read the post, yep, that's what you have to do - Sorry James

I too have taken the plunge this weekend, downloaded the program, the B'ham x-city and Edinburg-Aberdeen routes, and ditched the Japanese route.

Stopping at the correct place was not too bad on the x-city, generally overshot by 1 metre, but had terrible trouble on the Aberdeen route. The lack of instructions in general, but on driving techniques in particular, does not help, have just had to adopt the suck it and see approach.

On the Edinburgh to Aberdeen route, you must use the small, yellow squares. The number ont hem is the amount of carriages per train can stop there. If you have 2 carriages, you stop at the '2' and so on.

To help new converts to BVE use this which will tell you which keys to press if anything happens

Paste what you see below the ******** into a new .TXT file

Rename the .TXT file, String.INI
and save it

Go to your main BVE folder, find your original string.INI and rename it

Originalstring.INI

and save it

Paste the new .INI file which you have done into the main BVE folder

Thats it,

John
