Hasn't this already been done by Tom Beevers?

Instead of making 2 versions of the route, why not just join with Tom and make one super route? No point in ahving 2 decent ones when we could have 1 excellent one :)

As long as this route works better than the other route, I don't mind.

It should be. The other route was very inefficient, such as objects which cannot be seen but still placed, e.g. trees/extra tracks in tunnels, but they just cannot be seen as the tunnel covers them.
It also had a lot of "Addface2" in it. So a lot of extra and useless faces which cannot be seen, that's why the very low frame rates and frequent stutterings.

That's also why at such a complex at X-City, New Street, I could get at least 12fps while at simpler places on the Piccadilly, I could only get less than 10fps.

The Picc V3 wouldn't even load on my computer. Hopefully the new version will.

Don't worry folks I plan to do the following:

* A split version for peeps who have little time to be driving long great lines,

* Better frame rates than the current

* Will feature lower-spec which is not totally un-graphical but still enough to get your PC to work it!

I will upload screenshots soon, however due to time, I am going to release it in phases. Any input from people here is welcome.....

Will it have announcements because on the piccadilly cab view DVD I saw that the driver made the announcements using the in cab phone and the announcements where heard via the PAS system on the platform so announceents would be nice dont know if the train had auto announcements to in the train

Also with the cyrrent piccadilly V3 it wont even load up on my PC I have 350mhz processor but all other LUL Routes load up fine looking forward to this route

Picc v4 is being optimised so it should work better. But with a 350mhz processor your chances are very slim, unless I plan to cut out all detail and get flamed for that instead.

Mind you the thing that attracted me to BVE was that it runs on low spec machines...which includes my laptop 233MHz...dont laugh it was the bees knees a couple of years ago.

I thought that toms route was good until i got to Heathrow and all the problems started. I hope that the new route will be good and works most of all.

Knowing Nathan, he will make it good.
Tom's is all over the place in terms of downloads. There is two version 3's on here, (my guess is he just wants a lot of stuff on here?, MHO) and it took my 3GHz PC about 5 mins to load it, so i gave up and deleted it, which is rather a pity as i rode the line today (well, to Covant garden and back to KingsX-St Pan)
i want to be uploaded

Well it dont work on my Bucket & Moniter, whoich is about 1 Pint  sorry, couldnt resist, isnt it nice to dig up old threads, with a little help from my Bucket and Spade  .

The new one sounds good, although i can remember coming back from Heathrow and being told there were people on the track, and in the same sentence, they were off the track, i dunno if that happens in real life, but it would be good to keep delays down.
