Hi Steve

I'm here  Congrats on the job!

I have the sectional appendix for the London Midland, and have tried to supply Anthony with the information for both Cross City and the WCML.

Thankyou for the comments on the SR route. I believe a CEP is in production somewhere. Perhaps the author could get in touch.
Cheers
Steve

I've always wondered why SR is almost identical to Sandymill - Invermay?

The Southern Route is a converted Sandymill-Invermay route, which is said in the Readme.

I am developing a variroute program. This program creates a route file for BVE. The program chooses the route, timetable, train stock, preceding train details (thus signals) and engineering works, each generated timetable is different, with countless possibilities.

I am trialling in on a Kings Cross to Stevenage route, when the program picks from a WAGN (Moorgate or KX), GNER or freight service.

However I have dispensed with most scenery, as I'm concentrating on the program, and therefore it is not going to be released.

If the author of the WCML would like to developing their route in conjunction with my program, please contact me on xxx@hotmail.com (replace xxx with kestrel757, just an anti-spam precaution) and I can explain how my program works.

In theory the program will work with any route, so other people are welcome to contact me with their routes too.

Not sure about BRR, but it is more than a randomiser. You could get a GNER express from Kings Cross to Peterborough. Next time a WAGN all station stopper from Moorgate to WGC. Engineering works might close the FL between ALexandra Palace and New Barnet, etc, etc

I'm only just about to get into BVE, after downloading it now. Will be running it soon. Just been doing a bit of browsing on these forums and saw this thread.

First thoughts were: Wow!

Loving the idea of driving into and out of Euston!

Congratulations!

BTW, making BVE routes I hear is VERY hard. Is it? How do you do it?

Takes patience, but not TOO difficult if you read the right things first. Notepad and a good copy of all the .csv commands are all you should need to start with...

Oh, and good luck :D

I'm told it's very very hard. Coded or something.

I think I'll leave Project H2P in BVE for another decade...

Hi Steve!.

I'm making the CEP (I told you remeber ;)), don't expect it anytime soon though, its using realistic sounds and cab (if I get the hang of making it!)

Looks horrifying at first, but you soon get the hang of it!

November 2001 I thought BVE coding daunting.

January 2002 it was a little less scary, and by summer 2002 I knew all of the CSV commands, since then i've become better, but stick at it at the start for a few months and you'll be fine :-)/

OK, I will do once I've done Project H2P, New Radnor to Leominster and CE as a whole for MSTS. Then there's doing CE for Trainz...Think I've got too much going on?

Where do I get the programs to start building routes in BVE? Any decent tutorials free online?
