Been dreaming about this for a long time!
Need to have an opening ceremony with a tape and scissors for this?
lol yes! I've added a new section dedicated to WJ-Rugby on my site, should be my new flagship route by the time it's finished. :)

http://www.railsimroutes.co.uk/news.html (mentioned Euston to Watford there too)

Cheers,
Anthony.

Hi Anthony

That sounds superb! Are you still continuing developing on Cross City North?

Hi

Stephen : Those screenshots look fab!, I was on the Euston - Watford Junction route today (only as far as Harrow & Weadstone) :D

Anthony : Good luck with your Watford Junction - Rugby route!, looking forward to it! :D

Keep up the good work both of you! 8)

I for one cant wait. This kind of route is exactly what I was waiting for! Good stuff guys.

Now all we need is a pendolino. Hmm.

So I trust we should see Silverlink stopping services and alike?

Stephen, if you want a to add to the route, maybe you could develop Rugby to Tamworth? Although im not entirely sure how far those stations are.

Another possibility is Olympia to Watford.

Wow, looks very good. I was almost starting to forget BVE even existed for certain reasons  . This has reminded me not only that it does but also how good it really is. I can't wait to be able to drive the WCML from Euston to Rugby, even if it is in 2 sections  .

Cheers all :D
Yea, i think both MSTS and BVE have got there own individual qaulities and atmosphere. I tend to go through phases of using one for a while and then drift back to the other. theres some amazing routes and rolling stock out there for both huh! 8)

It'll be a shame if we dont have a Pendolino for the new routes.

But low and behold, I have a backup - Take the Class 334 'Juniper' and adjust the settings for a Pendolino, and thats just about right!

Hi,
The screenshots of the London to Watford section look great, well done Stephen. Maybe you could make the branch that goes via the High Street station? It isn't too long.
Anthony, that is the best news I've heard in ages. I wonder which wil be first BXCN or WJR.

I was looking at the London Connections map and realised, You have done/making the Birmingham Cross City Line and the West Coast Mainline to Rugby, with Stephen doing the Euston to Watford section, meaning a small bit is left till you reach Lichfield Trent Valley Low Level!

London - Watford - Milton Keynes - Rugby - New Street - Lichfield

Don't we have a 'decent' route already?

Screenshots look brilliant. Better than what I saw the other day.

Just a thought...

Post by Keelar001 »

After a long absence, owing to lack of the naughty Net, am returned with a small suggestion for those among you who are interested in aiding route developers. I am now a qualified driver with South West Trains and as such we get issued with a Sectional Appendix for the region we drive. This includes line speeds, major structures, position of crossovers and so forth.

If there are any London Midland staff on here, would it be worth supplying developers with details of the Euston, Rugby stretch of the WCML? As far as I'm aware the information isn't restricted to rail staff and as such could be used without anyone getting into trouble.

Just a thought...

By the way, if Steve Green ever gets around to reading this or if anyone is still in contact with him - Version Two of his Southern route was and is a work of art. I have never used anything else that gets close to driving on the third rail. The CIG and Networker are minor works of art. Why did we never get a CEP to drive on there? 90mp/h on a train with brakes just the right side of useless - also known as "how to loose 3lbs in bodyweight without exercise."

Regards,
Steve
