It would be cheaper to park for free at one of the local stations near the NEC and catch the train to Birmingham International

Cheers

I've managed to swap my shift with one of my colleagues for the Sat, so I'll be there on the Saturday for the whole day (Yay) I'll probably be going by train, or getting my dad to give me a lift :D

Well the parking is only £7, by ludricous i assumed it would be something like £20 a day or more but only £7, would probably spend that getting a bus or train to warley and back from the hotel (more than one fare). :)
Regards

Ade :)

If anyone does drive, just pop down to Hampton-In-Arden station, for a junior (a.k.a Me) it's £1.20 for both days, and the parking is free/cheap.

I know you may say the parking is "only" 7 quid but I think that is quite alot. The NEC is all money money money, as an exhibitor to have a single 500 watt socket for a few days show is 80 quid..... If it cost me 20 quid to get there by other means then I would do so, rather than pay to park the car for a show that I'm going to have to pay to get in. Many exhibitions held there are little more than a shop anyway, it's a bit like paying to get into Tescos....

and unless you have a disabled sticker the car park is a long walk too. Last time i was warned by nEC staff that it could take 15 minutes to walk from the car park to the hall. For me 15 minutes means nearer 45 minutes. Luckily they let me park right outside the door - despite not having a badge - thanks to a kindly security guard.

This year, if i go, i hope to have a blue badge - my application is in the post :)

Hope to be there Saturday.

The NEC is a big venue. Which hall are we in?
