No But Seriously Glasgow is one of them Cities that you are never Lonely in Someone will always make conversation with you
Not if you happen to go in a pub just after England have knocked Scotland out of the world cup and ask, in all innocence, anyone heard the footie scores. :(

I did whilst on holiday one year, hadn't seen the match or heard the result, and went in for a quick drink before dinner and made the unfortunate remark. The place went a quite as a graveyard at midnight and the barman ask me if was having a laugh. I explained but thought it was better to leave as quickly as possible after my drink :(

Actually though Pete, you are right. Not just Glasgow but ive found all Scottish people very welcoming :)

They Most Likely Did Think You were extricating the Amber Fluid  They take the Fitba very seriously Thought they have a sense of humour too ...

I still chuckle win I think of the Headline on Scotland on Sunday the Morning after England won the Rugger World cup down under It simply in Banner Head Lines Read "ENGLAND WIN RUGBY WORLD CUP !!!!!!!.................... And Not a Russian Linesman in Site Thought it was Priceless & spoke Volumes regards another dodgy World Cup Win But Well not go in to that ;)
Regards & Best Wishes

This time i'll try not to race you again lol

Hopefully I will be attending again........but i only wish my mum would let me stay in a hotel so i could do the friday night, saturday and sunday shows. I feel 2 to 3 hours there isn't justified. I found i didn;t have enough to time to look around for more deals......and do more msts...well as I like to say.."trying to show off" lol. It'll be even worse this year because my step sister will probably come along to Glasgow with us as we are burdened *ahem* with her every weekend.....and she has no interest in railways what so ever........

.......anybody want to try and presaude my mum into letting me stay at a hotel lol

I never have time to look around the shows. Im usually too busy on the stand :) Sometimes i get a quick look though on the way to the loo's or restaurant.

I doubt your Mum would let you stay in a hotel with a bunch of weirdo's like us ;)

I looked up the Merchant lodge and it seems a nice hotel. Then I saw the address. Virginia street is in the heart of the gay village.

Not that that's a problem. At least its safe to walk the street at night. Just don't try to chat up the women. :Fade-color

Well I'll be staying at either Number36 or the Sandyford Hotel.

I've stayed at both and can recommend either.

http://www.sandyfordhotelglasgow.com/

Both are about ten minutes walk away...and are both a few minutes walk from the Exhibition railway station.

Hmmmm.....thanks for the information Doug. I'll have to see what I can do about it....but seeing as I'll be 16 by then....my rights could easily let me decide if I should or not........it's just wether I'll have a home to come back to ( the mother always seems to be using the "chuck you out of the house" line lol )

If some people haven't noticed.....my mum is way tooo over-protective
