3DS Max and Windows 8

GMax is now capable of making models for both Auran Trainz and Microsoft Train Simulator so you can see your work in both sims very quickly and easily now!
GMax is a sister product to the big 3D Studio Max but also has the distinct advantage of being completely free - and available for download from UKTrainSim.

3DS Max and Windows 8

Post by longbow »

I'm planning a new Windows PC primarily for TS2013 and related content creation.

Currently I have 3DS Max 2010 running on Vista 32 bit. First, I gather 3DS Max does not support Win 8 yet so presumably I should opt for Win 7? Second, the Kuju plugins apparently work only with 3DS Max 32 bit so does this require me to specify Win7 32bit?

No, you can just work fine with a 3DS Max 32-bit version on a W7 64-bit system,
