DTG hinted about it on a Twitter post

Not for me either I'm afraid.
I've put TSW on the backshelf now until it gets to be
something similar to TS2018 - with longer routes, different locos,
various stock, an editor etc. etc.

I have pre ordered, but indeed I'm disappointed that the only German train will be a Talent 2. In previous routes, we at least got 3 trains to lay with.

Well I definitely will not be getting this route, just a suburban emu,and a S Bahn route,if it had been a mainline route I might have been tempted
One route that would be interesting is from Koblenz to Basle plenty of freight, IE passenger trains, and lovely scenery,
but probably to long for TSW

Deep Joy.
We can all dream , so include me please. in the dream that is.

I want to see it in TS, let alone TSW! It's a nice dream though, isn't it? Let's add a 'G' 0-6-2T and a 'K' 2-6-4T to sweeten it a bit more, maybe some ex-GCR stock too for the LNER services along the Northern part of the line. Maybe a couple of Aveling & Porter 0-4-0T's to add a bit of interest to the Brill Branch, and of course we need the 'A' tanks! Not to mention 'B' and 'C' tanks, along with possibly an 'X' class Peckett, and Panniers for Good measure. Then we need a bit of District stock, BTH Locos and Westinghouse locos to add a bit more spice to the electric side of things...
And so the dream deepens to uncontrolable levels...
All the best,

Not for me, as I do not like Fast Passenger Trains, regardless of the country it runs on.
The previous British route was okay for me as it included a freight option.
Regards, Roland.

Then never fear! New TSW Metropolitan Suburban, being set immediately after the LT takeover of the Metropolitan Railway of the 1930's still features extensive freight opportunities! Plus, now with bonus LNER goods flows too!
I can but dream... but I think I'd better stop dreaming soon or else I'll be shot for aimlessly meandering too far off topic...
All the best (Hat, Coat, Gone.....)

I decided to give it a go take advantage of the discount price of £14.99, which for a route and rolling stock to drive on it don't seem a bad price.

I suppose that's a fair price, but you do need to buy the other bits. Maybe if I see the bundle of all three cheap enough I'll give it a shot. Personally, I'm leaving it until some steam comes along, or a least something 'period' or Southern Electric.
All the best,

Well, I think this will be the death knell for TSW, quite frankly. I was really looking forward to their German content and wouldn't mind helping DTG out financially, BUT, where's the appeal, there's no variety, no wow factor, it's fine for the Passenger fans, but, it's yet another linear route from a-b which will probably get very tedious after you've completed the small amount of tasks included, there's nothing else, no freight, not even a nice little Class 101 to play with, how dreadful, what are DTG thinking about, how can they possibly attract new players, and keep veteran end-users amused with this sort of boring release, and they want our money for this small token offering of a 30 km S-Bahn line that anyone outside of Germany will probably have absolutely no interest in whatsoever, and this is an S-Bahn, with tunnels and underground stations, no pretty German scenery to look at there, dear, oh dear, oh dear, shocking.......
Cheerz. Steve.

I won't commit any more time or money to the TS2 beta project, the selection of routes are just too boring and small imo, as Davep says, going to wait until there is more of a sim. Besides, there's plenty to do and still collect in TS20xx.

I was so looking forward to a German route but this just seems like a bit of a rush job with just the one item of rolling stock when compared to the two previous releases. £14.99 still is a good price though especially for those of us into flight sims and are used to the cost of add-ons for them.

So nice to see how supportive of DTGs efforts people are.

They're a commercial organization. This isn't a social welfare activity on their part. If customers don't like what's being delivered they have every right to complain.
