Looks very good to me too and look forward to trying out service mode. I do wonder if after a bit it may become repetitive without new trains/extensions but certainly looks promising.

Re David's comments re cab sway and bridge sounds, I thought I saw some cab sway. I did notice lack of bridge sounds but they have them in their TS routes so would be surprised if not present. Maybe they were not noticeable. I'm sure if they are missing they will add them if pointed out.

Have to say I was impressed with the HST being able to get it's emergency coupling out. Nice touch.

Sorry if I missed it in the stream, but as they have the services mode do the trains also come with on-board announcements giving the stopping pattern and the like? like they did a bit in WCML Trent Valley?

They did touch on that in the video. There are some announcements at stations but no on-board announcements. Possibly something for the future.

Very, very impressed - looks stunning, plenty of stuff I noticed in the video is top notch. I really like the accurate signalling (different signal types, green banners, call on's, mini theatres etc etc) and nearside track detail. The functionality of the loco's looks great (although some folks complained about lack of ATP - not fussed about that personally). Great work from DTG, can't wait.

I'm disappointed the 'cruise control' throttle problem seems to have carried through from the CSX locos to the UK stuff and what is with the Hst in notch 1. It took off like a rocket out of Paddington!

I agree. If I'm not wrong, I think it was about 1500A in notch 1. Is this correct for HST? It does not help with good graphics if the physics are bad. But if we compare TSW with what Rail Simulator was back in 2007 then we can hope that it will become better in the future.

I think I will wait until I have experienced it first hand before passing judgment on the physics, sounds and visuals etc.

A couple of questions for the GWE release.
Will DTG be releasing any updates to the TSW core for the GWE release.
When does the pre order discount expire , can you get the discount on the day, as long as it's before release time.

You'd have to ask DTG both of those questions, but I think to the latter question it is up until the time of release.

Matt's currently streaming some GWE on Train Sim Live if anyone's up for a sneak peek before release day tomorrow.

The 166 idle sounds are spot on! But it lacks the distinctive rev up sounds.
Apart from that (and the lack of 165) looks good so far!

I hate when I come home early from work hoping to be able to play it but steam hasn't released it yet and preload is not availlable
