The comments to the latest article (Thames Valley Services) include the following from Trainsim-Steve:

Heathrow trains are completely omitted at this point Simon, this is so that when we bring those trains to Train Sim World, they can be slotted into the gaps left without too much difficulty.

Should be because of license issues.

No, I just see a difference between what I would like and what I expect it is ideal. I'd like the whole GWR with every piece of stock that uses it, but wanting it won't help me get it

Reading Sam Yeagers message above, these services are not included because they plan on releasing it as DLC later. That's fair enough, I guess!

I'd say so. Service mode with a couple of different trains and route extensions would make for some very interesting operation. I do wonder if in the released state it will become a little stale until tools and new content is released.

One thing that puzzles me is that I do wonder if the 165 would have been more suitable than the 166. The 166's were introduced for the fast Newbury and Oxford services iirc with the 165's for the Reading and other local services? Would it not made more sense to include either both (I am not sure of differences) or just the 165?

Either way I'm looking forward to release day.

Does anyone know if they plan on updating the route when electrification is completed. Perhaps as a standalone update, so those of us who prefer the pre-finished electrification can have essentially two eras to drive this in?

Only they know if they plan on it, but I'd be surprised if the effort to do so would be borne out in the sales figures as well. Ultimately we shall have to await any announcements.

I do remember them saying something along the lines that the GWR mainline out of Paddington was going through some reconstruction, I think it was in an early developer report video on the route, whether that meant that they would follow that reconstruction in game or not I don't know, maybe they were hinting that they would, we will have to wait and see.

In the comments on their latest article DTG say the time table is based on late 2015 so I assume, dangerous I know , that the track is currently based on the same time period. As said in other posts we will have to wait and see whether they will extend/update GWE although it seems clear that they have plans to add additional trains such as 387s.

Yes indeed, I even said "we will have to wait and see" in my post as well as including the word "maybe", I know I am speculating which is a dangerous thing on this forum, I can hear the firing quad loading their guns already.

On TrainSim Live Facebook page, which is Matt Peddlesden, there has been a post stating that at 6pm today (presumably GMT) will be the official Dovetail Live Stream of Great Western Express - then it says at 8pm Matt will also be hosting his own LiveStream too. Typically I'm working this evening but I shall pack the tablet for work and hope for the best.

I think you'll find the UK is currently using BST (GMT+1) time.

So, watching the Twitch stream - So, it's stormy, yet we get a reflection of the sun in the building windows??

They still haven't mastered the effect of clouds, etc on the level of sunlight...
