RW Tools Problem

Hi All

I have hit a problem loading scenarios in TS. It keeps crashing when it comes to loading a scenario. For some reason I have found that in RW Tools if I edit a scenario that no Consists are being listed in any route or scenario I look at.

Would any one know whats causing this please?

I have however recently had a new PC and copied the assets folder from an old PC onto a new one. But I think that should work fine... it has in the past.

Thanks

Simon

Simon. I cannot help you with your problem specifically BUT
I would draw everyones attention to file copying in windows (any windows)
There can be problems when.......
The files or folders that you copy have paths that exceed the maximum allowable path length
See https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2891362
(The files or folders that you copy have paths that exceed the maximum allowable path length)
In TS this is possible
for example
F:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\railworks\Content\Routes\000000bd-0000-0000-0000-000000000000\Scenarios\7d758aa6-743d-49cb-bb24-74e433c47155\Scenario.bin
is 162 (except the File Allocation Table see more than that) I have seen much longer paths in assets.
Windows is supposed to give a message (file name too long to copy) or the like, but in big file copying does not, or it comes so late its all over !
I would always use a copy program or a verification program after big copying routines.
I use http://www.foldermatch.com/
I hope someone solves your problem Simon
Cheers John

The game crashes, RW Tools reports routes and scenarios but no content in the scenarios. Can't be a file path problem as some files at least have copied; check that the locations of the scenario folders in the new installation mirror the old in relation to the Railworks folder and that they contain the same files.

Also make sure that when you copied 'Assets' that it did not end up inside the existing 'Assets' folder so that the files are now in Assets\Assets - easy to do if you are not careful?
