Mega Bug

Hi there seams to be a mega bug in the tools update 6.0.30 when using the search replace text and converting dds back there's a hang then not responding then it starts working or it crash out program not responding

I've been using the search replace tool all night and this afternoon, there's definitely nothing wrong with that. I don't use it for DDS conversion so I'll leave that open.

Can you tell me exactly what you are trying to do when you get this problem? The Search Replace Text code has not been changed for years?

As for the convert .dds - this also has not changed in the latest patch?

when changing the track of a route i do it the way your pdf says when Search Replace Text it run thorough a Short way then just freezes then Search Replace shuts down and also can mess up the bin with missing stuff

Well, I just removed all of the electric wiring/gantries from the JT Edinburgh-Newcastle route, and it all worked fine, here is a V2 crossing the Tweed at Berwick and no problems with the Search/Replace.



So I am sorry you have a problem, but as no one else has reported a problem with these functions, I can only assume you did something incorrectly.

To revert to your original settings in the route, there should be a 'Tracks.bak' file in the folder. Deleting the latest Tracks.bin and renaming Tracks.bak to Tracks.bin should get you back to your starting point.

What exactly have you typed in as the replacement text? If you have an illegal/unsupported character in there it'd possibly fall over--as would any .xml editor.
