GWR14xx and A31 Autocoach Not Showing

Having recently purchased the "Victory Works" GWR 48xx/ BR14xx and A31 Autocoaches, I was looking forward to creating the odd scenario or two. However, I cannot manage to get the assets to show in RWTools no matter how hard I try. I have uncompressed the .ap file.

I can create the scenario in "Build" (although "RSC", the "Falmouth Branch", "karma99" and "Victory Railworks" all have to be checked), but when I tweak it in RW Tools and attempt to package the scenario I get an error message saying there are missing items in the consists.

Is there a workaround for this please?

Okay. I have just managed to package the scenario created using TS15 Scenario Builder. I still can't get the 14xx or the a31 Autocoach into the Index file though. I deleted the Index file this morning and completely rebuilt it from scratch but the only listing for "Victory Railworks" is the GWR Railmotor which I purchased 2 or 3 months ago.

I'm wondering if something has been done to the *.bin files, or something omitted, which causes the models to be invisible to RW Tools.

I've managed to find the problem after thinking about the computer geek's response "RTFM" (Read The Fantastic Manual!)

Somehow, maybe during the plethora of recent Windows Updates, some of my latest Assets files have reverted to "Read Only" - once the folder attributes were restored to enable "Read and Write" RW Tools found them. Now I'm going to delete and rebuild the Index in case any other files were missed.

Hi,
How are you uncompressing the .ap files? If you are using 7zip then they will be read only.

However if you use the RW_Tools Files\Find all .ap files option, select the .ap files you require and uncompress them using the 'Unpack with 7zip' option, then they will be automatically altered to read/write, thus saving you the extra step.

Thanks for the tip - I have been using WinRAR to uncompress .ap files so I'll do it from inside RW Tools from now on!
