Hi...
Despite playing the game on and off since 2012, I am new to these forums...
I have a couple of questions regarding Scenario Creation...
1. Is it possible to put trains into any old scenario, I am playing Weardale and Teesdale at the moment and it only shows Class 101, Class 25, Class 37 and Class 08 Shunter...Is there a way to put say a 156, 158 or 185 onto that Network?
2. When doing scenarios, I would like to be as I can be for some Scenarios, with the right timing of services, Is there any good online communities that archive old train timetables
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

The answer to Q1 is definitely yes. You may need to read up a bit on how to use the scenario editor first. See the instructions in the manual which is in your TS folder. There are numerous tutorials on line , including U tube videos. Read the scenario building tutorials on this site - this one should get you started.

Q2 Sorry I can't be much help on this. Google it and you may get lucky. Try asking here when you know which timetable and era you are interested in. As a last resort you can get a printed copy from a library, specialist bookshop or ebay.

Hi,
Try Amazon go to books then type in timetables, and you will get a list of timetables,I think the only thing you can't do is run electric trains on a non electrified route

As for going beyond Q1, if you are new to creating scenarios I would recommend the Matt Peddlesden youtube videos as they cover the very basics:

This video is hosted by YouTube, a site which is outside of the editorial control of UKTrainSim and as such Parental Control is strongly advised.
To view the video, click on the PLAY button.
If you click anywhere else on this video, you will be taken to a YouTube page, where you may find yourself subjected to content that you feel is offensive.
If you feel THIS video is inappropriate, please report it to a moderator immediately for prompt action. (the link is to part 1 - there are 3 of them)
He also has another video covering LUA scripting basics, which is required if you want to use more advanced functions than those provided in the editor (ie. using html messages, speed checks etc.). You can get away with not doing any scripting for most common situations.
