The Snacktime series is back. We have modified the title format slightly, to give each one a subtitle.

Following the release of a sampler bonus Snacktime twin pack
Invalid File ID [32741]
for the Shethorpe and Whitley route, we now kick off the next batch with

We also intend to feature as many of the third party routes as we can, rather than mainstream ones, although a few of those will be made as well.

As the old thread has now been abandoned, we also ask that should you have any comments or problems that you post in here, rather than cluttering up any other threads, or starting new ones.

Three more new Snacktimes now posted. The series has now reached 54! More to follow......

A few redone scenarios will appear over the next few weeks as DTG (and others) continue to release new replacement assets, we will try as best we can to keep them updated, changing stock where appropriate. In future we will probably leave the original scenario, and put any updated ones in the same download with a new Id#. So those with older stock will still have access, but newer users with the latest releases can also use them.

Anyone like Deltics? 55002 ran from York to Aberdeen Easter weekend, today we release the first two scenarios depicting that run.

A third version for the upcoming Just Trains Newcastle Edinburgh route is also in hand, more news when that gets released.

Our next series will be based on some of our existing scenarios, but now set in a different era, to show how the railway has evolved over recent years. "Changing Faces" is the working title for these, although a final decision is yet to be made.

Of course other scenarios will also appear from time to time, some good routes in production just waiting to be explored.

In addition we have also donated some scenarios to the excellent UKTS Freeware Project. There are 3 packs to date, with a Snacktime Sampler no 2 near ready to go, early June possibly.
Please note that these are custom versions of existing scenarios, with a strong emphasis on reducing the number of assets used to the bare minimum required. They also use different Id# numbers to the standard versions, so they can be installed alongside the other previous editions.

Just a quick note regarding the excellent Workshop route, Settle and Carlisle 1975.

Following a look at this recently we note that our existing scenarios no longer work since the latest route update. Guess we missed that one...
This will be rectified as soon as possible.
Two of them have already been revised, and are currently awaiting approval.

Our apologies to anyone currently getting 'broken consists' messages.

Meanwhile we have a new 135minute one set in the late 1970s to whet your appetites

Then we will be taking a long break following the release of a couple of other scenarios that are already written and ready.
The Changing Faces series has reached no 10, and the Snacktime series will take another pause following the release of no 60.

Have a good summer!

Hello Rose and Gareth, as usual I'm having a problem with a scenario. I'm trying to do changing faces 10 - Paddington Peak, the only trouble is when I go into the cab the AWS is sounding and it wont switch off with the Q key or the HUD button. I have tried the peak on other scenarios and it works fine, so I changed the peak for a 47 strangely enough I had the same problem with the AWS buzzer. Have you (or any one else) ever had this problem? Is it a problem with the scenario or the route?

All the best, Richard.

Strangely enough, we know of someone else who had this problem, simply resolved by re-installing the original class 45 (too many versions sharing the same .bin file!).
Regarding the 47, did you clear your cache after the initial AWS misbehaviour? Should sort that out.

Hi, thanks for your quick reply, sorry to say though deleting and re-installing the peak has not sorted the AWS problem on your scenario. As I said, the loco works fine on other scenarios, so I will make a little scenario using the peak starting at Paddington to see if there is a problem there. As for the 47, no I hadn't cleared the cache, so that may have been the problem there, will have to redo that experiment again.

All the best, Richard.

Hi, I have just done a quick test scenario with the peak leaving from the same platform and no problems, so I deleted and re-installed both scenario and loco again but still get the constant AWS buzzer, which makes me conclude there is something about this scenario my set up doesn't like (not for the first time with one of your scenarios :( ). It's a real shame as I know how much work goes into making these scenarios and it looks really good.

All the best, Richard.

I've got two thoughts on this, one which you may have already done, that is to run it via editor.

The other suggestion is to retime 33008 by a few (+10) seconds, maybe too many simultaneous movements at the start. 55007 can also be timed a few (+15) seconds later, as initially it only gets as far as the signal anyway. This slight stagger may be enough to stop TS2014 playing tricks with the intro - and it's quite an active one too.

Unfortunately we are still not able to duplicate this, tried it on 3 computers now without issue, so these are just standard tricks that we use from time to time. Should this work for you, then we'll issue a modified version.

Fingers crossed x

Gareth

Hi, me again, just a heads up and I have sort of fixed it. I tried changing start times of various trains, but no change to the AWS buzzer. I tried moving 50007 to other platforms and still no luck, so I then removed 50007 totally and bingo, all is good (well I have just started away from the platform so far). I will continue this tomorrow hopefully to completion.

All the best, Richard.

Hi, just to let you know I swapped the 50007 loco for the Michael Whateley br blue class 50 (kept the same number) using RWtools, and it works fine (so far).

All the best, Richard.

Hi, me again, sorry to say I have a new problem. I am having another go at 1987 - Follow the Swallows, I tried this some time ago and kept getting a X at Ladybank. However, this time I got ticks at all stations I stopped at, however not long after leaving Markinch I got the dreaded "Train derailment due to an AI collision (51181 Fife clock) & (47221 KingMoor Dyce). I have decided to remove 51181 and do the scenario again and hopefully I will still get a tick at Ladybank. Will let you know how it goes tomorrow.

All the best, Richard

Sorry, please forget the above post, it was covered on your year by year thread, I hadn't realised I had already had this problem before as all my green ticks disappeared a few months ago. However, I did fix it then by removing 51181.

All the best, Richard.

Hi,
having problems with the " Hadrian on the Hexham Line" scenario.
I'm assuming I have everything required as the scenario loads, without any missing items or cannot load vehicle messages.
When the scenario has loaded, it opens with me looking at the station complex from platform height and positioned sitting on the rails.
I can pan around and if I wait long enough, a train enters onto the platform I'm at, waits a bit. It then moves away beyond some points , reverses back to the opposite platform and sort of repeats the previous procedure.

I've looked around but cannot see any other consist, that I can jump into. What am I missing here, much appreciate some guidance.

Regards JohnT
