WARNING DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK I ACCEPT NO RESPONSIBILITY IF YOU MESS UP YOUR SCENARIO - BACK UP FIRST
Ok. As some of you will of noticed a lot of scenarios that come with routes supplied by RSC start in-cab as opposed to the default slightly above loco which I find annoying. I emailed RSC support about how to do this and got zero help but I've worked out how to do it now myself.
You'll need RWTools to do this.
1. Open up RW Tools and select Scenarios > Edit Scenarios
2. From the Select Route and Scenario dialog that pops up, select your route and make a note of the first characters of the folder name to enable you to locate it. Do the same with your selected scenario
3. Close the Select Route and Scenario dialog
4. From the top menu select Files > Open.XML.proxyXML
5. Navigate to Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\railworks\Content\Routes and from there identify your route folder that you noted earlier and open that folder
6. Once inside your selected route folder open the Scenarios folder and again locate your required scenario and open the folder
7. Once in your desired scenario folder you should see a ScenarioProperties file. Open it up.
8. Scroll to the bottom and you will see the following line:
<StartInCab d:type="bool">0</StartInCab>
This is a true or false value, change it from 0 to 1 and save the file.
9. Open TS2013, run your scenario and hey presto, you're in the cab where you should be.
