Pre-set points in scenarios

I've read this is possible, but just cant seem to be able to alter the route when creating a new scenario?

You can set hand-worked points by Ctrl-Click in the map view. Their position will be saved when you save the scenario.

Problem is nothing happens! Ctrl/left click on blue circle?

You must do this is map view, not timetable view.

Ok got it, thanks, although seems to work by just left clicking!

Yes, that was an (undocumented) change brought in with TS2013.

I've just read this with interest, thanks Steve for pointing this out as i was unaware you could even do it. You never stop learning with this game.

Could someone post a pic that illustrates exactly where you 'ctrl-left-click' to change the points? I want to alter the initial path a train takes when a scenario starts, but I'm not having any luck. Thanks.

The dispatcher sets the route as it sees fit, so would change pre-set points if it felt like it.
You'd need to set a path using waypoints to override this.
