The AP 325/319 sounds really hit the spot when driving. Using those sounds could lead to shorter lead times on the production of this masterpiece.

Fantastic work mate. All the best for 2013!

Nice work! I think I saw this picture in white livery before. Should I post it here if you like to. :)

Thanks, that wasn't actually supposed to be a public shot, but anyway, here's some of today's work!

Finished modelling some roof and side details, the rear of the coach and the interior. Also begun mapping and VERY VERY basic texturing, more so for fun than anything. 8)

My God that's some fine texturing :D How long did that much take you? How many maps are you using so far and what resolution are you working at? That's sure to look great in game but those bogies look to be quite an undertaking mapping wise...

Thanks Kev, the extra modelling about 2 hours, the mapping about 30 minutes and texturing about 25 minutes (and it shows :( ). The bogies are already partially mapped, but there's still much work to do. I'm currently using one 2048^ map per car, and probably an extra one for all the details at the end.

If thats basic texturing then bring on the real stuff!!!!

Excellent start to what I'm sure will be an invaluable model for any modern day train basher.

Great texture work. Could maybe do with being a bit stripier and a little more red white and blue

Definitely! I'm not a fan of anything newer than the Thameslink blue/yellow livery to be honest.
