Setting speeds at Junctions

Afternoon everyone,

Another question from me regarding route building. I'm trying to set up the speeds on my track, sometimes it seems to work fine, other times the sign will show up the speed for the mainline and not the junction. Am I doing something wrong? I've selected the track at the junction for 25mph, main line is 90. When I place the sign down and select when it should be it just shows the main line speed. Any help would be greatly appreciated before I rip my hair out! :)

Screenshots show - 1 where it's worked fine. The other where it hasn't and what I'm doing.

The track link for speed signs needs to be on the correct track ribbon. If you move the track link a little further onto the diverging track, you should see the edges highlight in yellow. It can be a little fiddly..

Ah yes! Was just concerned that in the game on the hud it wouldn't show but seems to be working ok. Like you say, is a little fiddly though. Thanks!

The speed limits shown in-game are taken from the track properties, not the position of the speed sign or it's link; accordingly you don't have to be ultra careful about where you place the link, as long as it's on a bit of track that has the right speed setting applied.

The quickest way I found to do speeds at junctions is to carry on the speed for the new line from the line and onto the main line for a few yards... then redo the main line speed.. gives perfect results in seconds..

I do it slightly differently, but still works. I set the main line speed a few yards ONTO the branch, and ensure that the speed limit sign (branch, arrow) has its link a bit beyond. It saves the sometimes erroneous result of the main line speed suddenly dropping - this can occur if there is a very small piece of track next to the junction, which can be very difficult to pick up and set its speed limit
The driver should be at, or below, the branch speed limit BEFORE the junction is reached.
