W.I.P. The Titfield Line

I have decided to recreate the Titfield to Mallingford line from the well known film The Titfield Thunderbolt.
As many of you will know that the film used two 14XX locos, one of them being the now preserved 1450. Most sections of the line that was shot in the film were used by both 14XX's facing the opposite directions and some of those sections of track were along the Monkton Coombe to Limpley Stoke section including the scene with the cricket pitch where ''Thunderbolt'' passes by. So I have integrated or I will be integrating those sections in order of the journey seen in the film. Mallingford Station and the section at Midford Viaduct shall prove a challenge by the means of making it accurate in how its shown in the film which I'm looking forward to tackling. As those who may have noticed that the scenes at Midford were used by both 14XX tanks facing each way. More noticeable in the bus/train race scene. So I'm trying to make a mirror image of Midford using the Viaduct as that mirror!
Here are a few screenshots. Shame that the Wisbech coach hasn't been modelled yet. I would give it a go but 3D modelling kind of scares me

Love it... We also need someone to model "Thunderbolt" ... aka "Lion"

Absolutely love it - Midford is about 1/2 a mile away from me as I sit at home and type

- favourite walking area is down the lane (Old Track), past the farm where they grabbed the utensils to fill up from Midford Brook...looking forward to this!

Thank you

glad you like the screenshots

such a shame the real line never survived. Lucky you living there, lovely part of the country

Ah yes the Beales Farm scene. My favourite part of the film!

Would love to see one made, also the coach to go with the 14XX. As there isn't one its always good to improvise

Little update. I have completed 70% of the line so far. This route will require the 14xx from victory works as it will be there by default in the free roam scenario.
Here are some screenshots of the progress so far

Thank you for the feedback

In my creation of the route, no there are no more stations and the route length is 5 miles. I have though included some extras that were never seen in the film. The level crossing where the duel scene happened, I have included a small coal mine so you can run a goods train and load up with coal and unload it at a coal yard behind the barn that was carried to the station in the film, or unload it at the coaling stage at Mallingford sheds. also there is a loading crane to load up some conflat wagons at either end. I've felt that I had to put these in to make the route more interesting and to have more activity than to just run up and down. I'm almost done with the route now, still have to add more trees in on one section and a few more buildings but other than that I'd say its 90% complete

Does anyone want to join forces to produce "Titfield Thunderbolt" ... aka "Lion"
I'm a trained engineer, and can knock up 3D models really easily... the problem is that I've never had the time to get any of my existing projects actually up and running in the game!!!! If anyone out there knows how to do the scripting and etc and get it working, reply or pm me and perhaps we can get this fab route a real loco with style!!!!

Hopefully this will happen

Is there any progress with your Isle of Man network?

I have to confess I haven't done all that much on it... but your question has sparked a little more interest, so I've opened a new thread dedicated to it!

I'll keep you updated!!! Offer of "Lion" still open if any takers!

that's okay

Peel is looking the part though

there are MSTS models of the peacocks. I wonder if you were able to convert them? may be easier than a new build.
