Re: Fictional GWR Route
Thank you
I said I wasn't going to start Version 2 until new year but thought to hell with it and got cracking
carpe diem!
Not too far off now I shouldn't think. I am planning on doing 2 more different versions of this route after this one. Then I shall move onto another project I have in mind but won't say just in case I choose not to go ahead with it

Re: Fictional GWR Route
Penryn Bay Steam Railway Version 2 Release imminent!
To enjoy best results, turn procedural flora on in the game settings, also turn up scenery density....I have turned down the detail level to 0 on every single scenery item so it should all appear, I used to have a slowish computer so I know how it feels to not enjoy the best experiences at the best of times.
Penryn Station has been altered to make it look like it would have done in the 1930's as opposed to how it did look in the 1970's due to bombing in WW2. The loco shed now has 4 roads, so more locos can be accommodated. The station itself is built backover to allow the grand station roof to be joined onto the large hotel, the road has been diverted to be ran around the back of the hotel and the row of white shops have been demolished to allow the reconstruction of the station.
No changes have been made to Golden Sands station.
Onwards from there on the new section there is a stiff climb to the cliff tops and then at the peak of the line it descends all the way to Port Wenford with an increased speed limit to 35mph, Calling at Porth Beach Halt. The Passenger unloading function is a little temperamental so if it doesn't work, just leave the passengers behind
then beyond there we skirt around the cliff just after passing the abandoned Army Base Halt and then arriving into Port Wenford.
The whole line is now 6 miles in length. Round trip about 40 minutes.
Also at Port Wenford there is connection with the national network but the line is not connected.
Version 3 will be set in the 1970's BR blue era.
