Series Route Markers Not Showing

I cannot get any series route markers to show in the route I'm working on - an extension to Leeds of the Settle Carlisle route I downloaded from here in 2013. ( I haven't been working on it continuously - I get so far, then give up out of frustration.) I can't get the Google Earth overlay to work properly - great gaps in it and not in sync with the real life co-ordinates - and though others seem to have the same problem, I could find no solution to that, so gave up on that and resorted to RW Decals, which I finally got to work, but not very accurate for track laying. So I tried getting the Route Marker thing to work, again and again, but with no success, despite many attempts. I had to resort to laboriously writing down the coordinates from Google Earth, opening up TS2014 route editor, navigating to the coordinate and manually placing a marker there, which is tedious. The only tutorial I've seen on this subject seems to have been written for Railworks quite some time ago, and so much seems to have been updated since then - for instance the tutorial ends with a paragraph which says "...If the Markers do not appear even when the 'Markers' button in the bottom right hand flyout is ticked..." No bottom right hand flyout appears on my screen, apart from when CTRL+G is pressed, and that's only for the Google Earth overlay thing - which doesn't work either.


Here's what I did, when attempting to use the Route Marker tool:
1) Drew a path in Google Earth, saved it as .kml file
2) Used RW Tools to export to TS 2014 in Assets\jetgriff\Settle\Route Markers
3) Went to the Route Editor and clicked the Route Marker icon
4) Clicked on the Assets box to make sure jetgriff, Settle was ticked
5) Clicked the compass box at the top of the screen and pressed the route marker icon
6) A fly out at top right appears - but my marker file name (SkiptonToKeighley) doesn't show.
7) So I navigated to other areas where markers listed - still no markers.
8 ) Loaded up another route and looked for markers there - none appear.
9) Cleared game cache, which had been recommended elsewhere - still no markers.

Can anyone help please?

Failing that, could someone please run TS2014 in a window, load up their series markers and snip a picture of one - just so I can take "Seeing a TS2014 Series Marker" off my bucket list?

Got it... I put the .bin and .dcsv files in Assets\Kuju\Rail Simulator\Route Markers, and there they were - or rather there it was - a red line, corresponding to the path I'd drawn in Google Earth.

Hope this helps anyone suffering the same frustrating problem.
