RW Decal Problems

Post by ryan51 »

Hi I have recently started using RW Decal again due to the google overlay not working properly and it had been working fine until the last patch for Train Simulator 2015 when I had put some images of the old yard at the GCR Loughborough central station into Google earth as an overlay I layed my new path, opened up RW Decal and unticked the disable all google earth places and layers things and started to create decals the problem comes when its exporting the decal blueprints and it just gets stuck on this and it's stops me from creating decals could you give some advice please on how to solve this problem.

P.s. I have tried without the overlay on in google earth

I may be wrong but I think RW Decal doesn't work with some later versions of Google Earth.

If all else fails try contacting Jim at admin@rwdecal.co.uk
For disclosure, I am affiliated with a third party developer however, I do not know anything about any future releases unless I'm working on them and even then, I'd be breaking years worth of built up trust to say anything about it ;-)

I think it is the blueprint editor, it is named BlueprintEditor2.exe.
The trouble maybe with blueprint editor batch file in dwdecal, looking for "BlueprintEditor.exe' and not BlueprintEditor2.exe
this is only a quess

they don't offer support anymore due to the Google earth overlay in 2015 also Google earth overlay is a good thing in TS2015 and a bad thing it is hard to use Google earth overlay for laying track with estimates and laying track with estimates is the only way you will get supper evaluation as there's no other way

Yes you are right ribs I think it is that but I'm stumped on how to fix it.

edit the blueprint_editor.bat file (windows batch file)
by right click the file name and select EDIT option.
my railworks folder is "c:/steam/steamapps/common/railworks" if your is different then type its full path.

type in the batch file

cd c:/steam/steamapps/common/railworks
start BlueprintEditor2.exe
exit

save the file that should be all you need to do!
