I'm certainly following the updates and it's looking great...

Just out of curiosity - is the South London/Brighton/Bedford combined route still under 200Mb? It must be getting close!

Just asking because when I combined WCMLNorth and the North Clyde Line it was far too big to upload, so am a bit surprised that the London one is still under the max!
South London and Thameslink - not even close (111MB) - the reason why the Munich route and the New York Routes are so big is because they have much more terrain than the london one, which is more compressed together as a network, where as the other ones have mountians (Garmisch area) or are just long (New York route - at least 150 Miles!) . The latter two are also more spread out compared to the South London route too.

For Comparison - (Compressed sizes)

South London and Thameslink - 111MB ( but will be bigger)
Munich Augsburg, Garmisch and Rosenheim - 215 MB
North Jersey Coast and New Haven - 215 MB

London to faversham - 67 MB (for comparison ;) )

Interesting! Particularly looking forwards to the New Jersey/New Haven combined one - I lived in NJ for 5 years back in the 90's (including a year in Hoboken) so know these routes well. :)

Maybe, but it depends on the starting location of the North London Line. (so it could be NLL + GEML OR NLL + South London & Thameslink OR NLL & Neither. )

(just so people know GEML and the South London Routes have different starting points so I can't merge NLL to both GEML and the Thameslink routes unfortunately - but I think people will ask anyway )

PS - Who says I haven't done it already :P (the WLL at least - the track ;) but no scenery - yet )

According to the DTG advanced preview, the entire North London line from Richmond to Stratford will be released.

But does not mean the route origin coordinates are the same as MML or South London............

I'm going to take a wildly uneducated guess and assume it might have the same coordinates as the South London Network to encourage people like Danny to merge the two routes together.
However, it is best to wait until the North London Line gets released, then you can correct me.

Something coming soon :) - (WIP) - and also waiting for a workshop bug to be fixed too (size limit was dropped to 70 MB instead of 200 MB )

Notes - WLL and Thameslink Core scenery still needs to be finished and waiting for help for the terrain textures (North London and South London terrain textures have a different set - so I'm asking for help from Matt to change the South London ones to the Bedford route ones - which are the same as North London :) )

That is great news Danny, your route joining skills are a real gift to the community and something I was hoping could be done with NLL as the route has several options for connection to other routes.

Well the only route it can be connected to is London to Faversham although haven't' really seen a reason to yet. I can't join up geml, ecml south or great western main line to this one unfortunately. (or Portsmouth direct or any other route that doesn't have the Swanley Point of Origin unfortunately.

Well one reason would be if you were say, doing a scenario of the Liverpool to Folkestone sevice that went Acton, Kenny O, Wandsworth Rd, Bromley Sth then down to Faversham just saying there could be a certain reskin of an early 47/8 especially for such a thing already done and the first stage down from Oxford already started, just saying like :D

I guess I didn't post it on here - Currently waiting for upload (and help with mass changing terrain textures for the last 3 )

Route 1: New Jersey Coast and New Haven
Route 2: South London and Thameslink
Route 3: North, West, South London and Thameslink (Route 2 + North London)
Route 4: North, West, South London, Thameslink & Kent (Route 2 + North London and London to Faversham)

Map of Route 4 - http://alienworlds.co.uk/blog/wp-conten ... s-Kent.png

Updates I've added -
Routes 2,3 & 4 - Added Refuelling points at Selhurst and Cricklewood, adding Loading Point at Stewarts Lane as well as unloading points at Purley Gravel and Ardingley (near Hayward's Heath)

Route 3 & 4 - Added Un-Loading Point at Bow - Stratford

Route 4 only - Added missing Crossover from Gillingham P1 / 2 towards Rainham / East Kent, removed extra AWS ramps on Sheerness triangle and changed track to SLL version (on the 3rd rail sections.

Note - it doesn't seem like much but it takes ages to save a track change unfortunately. Also I can't make changes to the South London & Brighton route as that one is listed as final.

Hi Danny,

Nothing to stop you redoing and re-uploading as a version 2... :)

Not that it would matter because neither London - Brighton nor South London Lines have any loading points in their assets, so i'd have to add another route to the mix for that one, and while it should be added, I don't really like the idea of having two routes with the same name with minor differences.
