Hi Fakenham1,
WOW! What an amazing route! I am so happy that you are doing this route! This is my local line and have been wishing for it ever since I got railworks. Just a quick question, if you are going to extend it, in what way will you extend it? I would love 2 see Lowestoft, Sheringham and the Norwich - Ipswich line done but hey, I cant wish for everything.
Good luck with the route!
Alex.

Re: Norfolk Lines
Thanks again guys.
Deltic, as a guide, I'm running an i52500k (not overclocked as yet) ati6870 with all sliders at max (apart from water which is about 80% on the slider), at FXAA+2x2SSAA, 1400x900 res and get smooth performance. Gets down to about 20fps at Norwich though with all the AI, shadows etc, but still smooth enough for me. Abclare, I'm planning download only on this site, unsure of a release date as yet. Hopefully not too long though.
Alex, I think the natural first extension would be to Lowestoft - after that, not sure as yet.
Cheers again for your interest.

As it's a TS 2015 route it will only be a download route,if it's payware you will probably have to get it through your steam account,it should then automatically load into TS 2015,only MSTS routes are available on community CD\DVD discs, and then not all MSTS routes are on DVD's.

Re: Norfolk Lines
How could you have got TS2015 to work if you don't use Steam?abclare wrote:Mike.

Re: Norfolk Lines
Seeing as how your posting history and your avatar are pretty much exclusively from MSTS, are you sure you're in the right forum here? You can't use TS2015 without Steam installed unless you're emulating, which is against the EULA...abclare wrote:Mike.

Re: Norfolk Lines
No offence intended but if you do somehow have a TS2015 installation that doesn't use steam, don't expect to get far with being able to use DLC and 3rd Party Content.abclare wrote:Hi Mike.

Online downloads and purchases are, unfortunately for you, the main method of distributing content, because it's easier, quicker and cheaper than mass-producing DVD copies. Just Trains are really the only DLC producer who offer their content in disk format but I think the fair majority of their customers opt for downloads. If you've read fakenham's previous posts about requirements for the route then you'll see that they are all pretty much digital downloads, so you're stuffed really if you're going to want to play this route without downloading anything online.
Re: Norfolk Lines
I have just discovered this thread as I do not visit this forum much anymore and wow. I like many others was eagerly awaiting the wherry lines route and when the line never came to fruition it was such a disappointment! Fakenham1 the route looks absoutley amazing and at first glance I thought the screenshots were photographs! I am so pleased that this route is being created and I hope that all is going well in production.
Just one thing, is there any specific payware that will need to be purchased for this route?

You have asked before:

You have asked before:
But as you have also said previously that you don't use Steam and don't have TS2015 installed, the question of whether or not the route will be on DVD is academic - you won't be able to use it (unless of course you have a change of heart about both Steam and TS2015).abclare wrote:Hi. Re: Norfolk Lines
Abclare - yep, download only I'm afraid. Olimw, unfortunately a lot of payware will be required - only British routes though. I'll get a list out when I'm about to release the route. Looking back, I wish I hadn't ticked so many route boxes in the editor. I recently had to stop myself ticking the South London route box - I really like the looks of the new weeds/bushes in this route, but I decided it just wasn't worth it for the sake of a bit of vegetation!
Anyway, a few more shots from the first half of a trip from Great Yarmouth to Norwich..
Between Gt Yarmouth and Acle..(so many crossings on this bit!)
