How long has this taken you to do? You seem to make very rapid progress.

fakenham has devised a program that can scan a photograph and then call up all TS assets to recreate that photo in the sim's virtual world.
The attention to detail is outstanding but the thing that stands out for me is the variety and realism of the vegetation and trees. And that litter is superb! Regrettably in this day and age, look along any stretch of urban railway line and it's hardly the clean, sterile world that our routes to date portray.
This really is railway 'computer' modelling of the highest standard and, as and when this and the Birmingham routes emerge, will surely be setting a very high benchmark.

I wasn't going to post anything because I am absolutely speechless!! I honestly can't think of a TS2015 route better or more realistically represented than this. Outstanding, Fakenham.

If you ever write a book on how to capture detail in a TS route like this then I will not hesitate to purchase a copy.

Excellent work so far!!!
Regarding speed limits, look up the Anglia NESA here
http://www.networkrail.co.uk/aspx/10563.aspx It gives speed limits, the track layouts and lots more

. If I'm looking at the right place (p313.), the speed limit should be 20 over 60.
Keep up the good work!
Anthony

fakenham1 I'm interested in your foliage, are you using SpeedTree at all? Because those 3D trees are not something I've seen in the game yet...

Thanks for the comments chaps.
37114, I started this route a 'good while' back, but I've fairly recently rekindled it. However, I've basically stripped most of the scenery out (aside from the distant scenery) and replaced it with new middle and near scenery utilizing new techniques/ assets from newer routes etc. The good news is I'm about 99% complete on the Norwich to Yarmouth via Acle section, have run a couple of scenarios and they seem to work well - considering a mixture of CLS and semaphore signalling. But more testing needed.
Kev, the trees are a mixture of 3d and 2d from ECMLS and WHR. The West Highland routes 3d trees are great for adding more variety.
Will keep you posted.

Hi.
That looks great I use to work at Liverpool St and on that Route and others I now live in Suffolk. Will you be putting it on a DVD as there are many of us who don't like Downloads??

I'd say you're in the minority there considering that this sim is pretty much based purely around DLC. As far as I can tell this looks to be a freeware project, so it wouldn't make much sense to maintain a DVD distribution system that costs a considerable amount of money...

Just thought I'd post a few drivers eye view shots of a scenario I made from Norwich to Great Yarmouth (2P04 service). I've adjusted one of the views from the class 156 to give a better view of the track ahead - really good for seeing the trackside details as well as giving a greater sense of speed.
Signalling and AI appear to be working well, with a few tweaks here and there, considering a mixture of CLS and semaphore. The route via Acle is pretty much done, just putting in some finer detailing.
A few shots from the approach into Great Yarmouth.
About to converge with the line from Reedham..
Out of use sidings of the left..
And further on into the station platform 2..

Just fantastic, really really outstanding work and to such a high level of quality. I hope that my machine is up to playing your works, which is more a comment on the core programming than your choice of assets.
