Fakenham1 (for I know not what else to call you! :) )

On the basis on what I've seen here and on your Birmingham thread, you have a real and natural talent for route building. Having grown up in Brum, I can readily recognise all of the locations in that route and am simply amazed at the level of detail you have managed to incorporate into your work. Your WiP shots are just superb and I look forward to seeing more over time.

Thanks again all for your kind words.
Regarding release, I certainly plan to, but it won't be in the very near future -unfortunately I don't have that much spare time at the moment! And yes Mark, ideally I'd like to finish the Norwich - Yarmouth section, release it, then release further extensions.
I thought I'd post a few shots of Norwich - it's coming on OK, but it's taking it's time (especially as I ripped up my first attempt and started again!).

View from platform 4..

View from Koblenz Avenue, looking towards Thorpe Goods yard..

And lastly view from platform 2..

Bear in mind these are WIP shots - overheads need to be sorted, as well as reskinning etc.

Cheers

Just SOOOO real. Remembering the rows of 101s lined up in the now redundant carriage sidings ( when the pantographs didn't spoil the view!). Wowsers Fakenham.

This really is tremendous work, absolutely spot on. I have many happy memories sitting on the bank overlooking the station in the early 80's watching the station pilot with it's match truck releasing locos whilst the 101's rattled away below. Amazing how the trees have grown on what I remembered was cut grass! Looking forwards very much to the first release, it's certainly worth the wait :D
I'll get a ticket in advance; First class return to Yarmouth please! :D

Last time I was at Norwich I ordered a day return to Yarmouth Vauxhall from the ticket office and the elderly ticket office guy gave me a huge smile and said "Gosh - that brings back some wonderful memories!"
And wonderful memories is what I'm getting from all these screen shots! This is quickly going to be my favourite route. I'm going to be greedy here and say I hope a 60s - 70s (pre pantographs etc) version will be made at some time in the future by some kind, very clever person. My 03s, 31s, 37s, 40s are all on standby. I would certainly be up for designing scenarios for this.

Thanks again guys - really appreciate your interest.

Some more progress, again around the Norwich area.
Views from the access road to Crown Point depot..

Some shots from the Whitlingham / River Yare area, on the approach to Norwich..

I'll try and get some shots of the other stations up soon.

Judging by his 1st post on this thread, I'd say yes... I doubt fakenham would go this far on a route and abandon it ;)
