Just a few shots from work done on Birmingham International. A lot of reskinning of signs,platforms etc here plus I'm using some assets from Photon66's excellent WCML route - I hope that's OK.
Route building has slowed down a bit recently- I blame it on the weather!

Hi again,

A couple of shots from the approach into the International. Again, new track and surrounding ballast. The first shot shows the excellent preliminary route indicators in use, available in the library by emacph. His signal pack also includes splitting distants and 3 state banner repeaters - a superb pack, many thanks to emacph.

Here we see the PRI in use - the next signal will be showing the feather for platform 1. The M42 is visible in the distance..

I like what you've done with the replaced sleepers in those last 2 shots. Can you actually see where the track has been replaced on Google Earth or are you using an 'artistic license' to give the impression?

A bit of artistic licence but if I see some new track on cab rides etc I will put it in. I'm very keen on near-side track detail, such as correct positioning of junction boxes, point motors, cable troughs, signal phones etc etc, even down to the right kind of trees/fences nearby - maybe I'm a bit too obsessed with this as it does slow down the route building process!

There is nothing wrong with being obsessive in lineside detail. It's the thing that's immediately in view so is surely the most important. Amazed by your work, you must be local?

37114 I am local, but I haven't been to most of the stations - I get most of the details of places from youtube, geograph etc etc.

Can you do a 'pre-release' version? I'm itching to have a drive on this

Thanks again guys. My aim is to release the route and then to continue working on extensions - still have a lot to do/tidy up first though. Plus I keep changing stuff as I discover new techniques etc!
Here's an example - again new reskinned tracks and brown ballast. Took me a while to get the shades right on this one, but I think it works OK.
