Google Maps Overlay off

Since a week, my World Editor does not show the Google Map Overlay in the correct place. When I press Ctrl+G, the overlay doesn't show up right underneath the camera position (as would be expected), but about half a mile to the south. When I move to that spot, the overlay moves along with my movements and is never at my current position, but always quite a bit away.
I tried verifying the local game cache, cleared the cache, checked my API settings to match the settings required nowadays, but nothing seems to be fixing this problem.
Even when I start a new route from scratch, without cloning or using a template, the overlay is still off to the south.
Only thing I haven't tried is reinstalling TS2014 altogether, but I was hoping something less intruding could be done to fix this.

Hi
maybe the following might help you resolving this mystery
understanding Google API :

This one just to confirm for yourself that you meet the latest Google API requirements
Google overlay - mystery location? :

Might be worth to compare a earlier backup of the RouteProperties.xml with the current RouteProperties.xml of your route
Pretty strange behavior though

Try this solution from the thread I started when I had the same problem :
http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... &sk=t&sd=a
Hooray ! Have solved the problem.
I tried generating and entering a new API key which didn't work.
It turned out that I had turned on "Google Maps API" and not "Static Map Service" which I needed.
Something must have changed at Google's end though, for the problem to appear on different computers.

Yup, rechecked my API settings, they're all up to date.
Could be worth a try, but I doubt it will solve my issue, since I have the same problem with a new, freshly created route.

Rechecked my API settings and even generated a new key, but to no avail.
I suspect something in my TS installation has gone awry, since it does show the correct satellite images, only not right under my camera position, where I need them.
Thanks for helping all, right now reinstalling TS to see if that does the trick.

Did an uninstall of TS via Steam (delete local game content) and made sure there was no Railworks folder left in the steamapps folder on my disk.
Did a completely fresh install of TS (downloaded over 8 GB).
In the Google APIs console, I created a new project, enabled Static Maps API only and copied the newly generated key to TS.
Started a new route from scratch, based on Default.
Still the same problem.
I don't know what else I can do to fix this, anybody any clues?

Yes, tried it. Only Static Maps enabled, only Maps API v3 enabled, and both enabled: no difference.
Funny thing is: I found out this problem doesn't always happen, it seems to differ by chosen location.
Steps to reproduce this:
- Click Build
- Click New Route
- Choose Default as a Template (but have tried others as well)
- Enter Latitude=53.195833, Longitude=5.793056
- Choose a name
- Upon landing in the World Editor, enable Maps Overlay (Ctrl-G) en look to the south, where the overlay will be visible about 500 to 600 meters away.
Any one care to try above steps in their TS?
When I do not enter the given coordinates, but leave them as 0 and 0, then the Overlay *does* appear right underneath my camera position. (Only then I'm in the middle of the ocean

)

Seems to work fine for me. I can see the full overlay in all directions from Leeuwarden Station.

Weird stuff. Changed my graphics settings, but to no avail. Reinstalled DirectX, Physx, graphics drivers, etc. Nothing seems to work. I give up, bye bye route building...
