Hi Tony,

My cousin and I have been building a route from Wareham to Brockenhurst (including the Bournemouth West triangle) as it was in the 60s. I did all the topography and my cousin has done the rest! It is our first attempt at route building and we have much to learn but the track layouts are accurate (including Bournemouth Central). It has just been added to the UKTrainsim Library (here) in its very early unfinished state but you may like to take a look and see if any of it could be of use to you or if it would be possible for the routes to be combined (I haven't heard of anyone who has done that successfully but there's always a first time I suppose!) or if you could help us improve our route.

Take a look if you get a chance and let us know what you think.

There's another route in planning here and my cousin's ID is Woody44.

We are all trying to achieve the same thing so all of us can enjoy this amazing railway network and if we can work together everyone will benefit.

I have downloaded yours, and nice it looks too, but there are some differences in track layouts that i notice, particularly Poole and branksome shed, also the carriage sidings at west, as for combiningthem it wont work, I am not going any furher west than Hamworthy Junction and east as maybe pokesdown, but all the way North to Temple combe. Track is layed all the way to sturminster so far, and am filling in the details at the moment. Dont worry about duplication as there will be enough differences to not matter.

I also have tried this route - cannot load any scenarios but created one and it loaded. However no signals works - all stuck at red despite no missing assets except a couple of decals.

Looks great.

I have put in Carters siding for now, but may add the Wimborne loop for a bit more interest, i have already left in some sidings that in reality were removed just after the War.

Nice work there. You may be aware of the faulty default route track and signalling layout at Templecombe Upper - the two tracks on the curve to the Upper station were signalled for dual line running only as far as the missing trailing crossover opposite B box; beyond that, the platform road was signalled for main line running in both directions, with the other line becoming a loop.

Yes aware of that Thanks, I have the signalling diagrams of the line. As mentioned before I have left ion some trackwork that was probably removed shortly after nationisation, just to add some more variety, and interest.

Just driven the line end to end on a stopping service, took me about 40 mins, nearly had to have a blow on Parkstone bank but the i in 300 slack through Parkstone station saved my back! any way I have been fleshing out some details now all the track is down so a couple of shots to be going on with:

Looking good...

I don't know why... but the driver in the cab of the Black 5 amused me highly
Why couldn't the steam loco sit down? - Because he had a tender behind.

Not sure if it'll help since you seem to be doing a grand job, but the 2nd part of my book covering the route today from the air is released in May. I'm just proofing the captions at the moment. There are a number of mapping sites that proved invaluable as I traced the line although I think you're beyond that stage if the trackwork is in place.

I'm looking forward to this one!!
