dragging track into place without it splitting?

Post by class1987 »

Hi again I'm trying to drag some track that I want to alter and put in the correct place, I am using the RW decal software by placing my map on the route and basically tracing the route with my track.
But I've only just noticed that I've not lined some track up correctly with the image I have got on the ground and need to just drag it into place, now I've tried to select all the pieces I wanted to drag but once I dragged them pieces of track the unselected parts that I didn't need to drag, the track split?
How do you stop this from happening?

You can't.

Your best bet is to delete the misaligned track, and then relay from where the track is correctly aligned. Then when you want to rejoin on the other side, put snap to track on, join the track up, delete the offshoots, and then use the weld tool to remove the buffers.
