I haven't done a 1900 version just put some bits together for a photo shoot!
The Modern version has been uploaded, hope it all works out and you enjoy it.
There is a full working timetable for a whole day (timetables included) these workings make up 29 scenarios of freight and passenger traffic.
Class 142, 156 & 158 form the passenger services and class 37, 47 & 66 for the freight side of operations.
The Norbeck branch has been restored to its former glory by the Norbeck Steam Railway Preservation Society who acquired the line back in 1987.
A full day 'one train in steam' service (free roam scenario) can be operated if you so wish!
Most scenarios have return workings.
Timber traffic still operates from the privately owned former Noyna Hill goods yard. Quarry trains have recently been contracted out to the NSR who use their resident diesel locos to convey traffic over the Norbeck branch, steam hauled trains have not been ruled out on special days in the future!
Well situated for steam excursions, heavy loading ability & possessing ideal facilities the NSR can be an excellent host for locos & trains! Scenario writers can create the excursions of the future!
some more pics then...
The scene at Glusburn Junction
Cordon Bennet Logistics building (rail served) stands on the site of Laneshaw Bridge steam shed.
Laneshaw Bridge Station
Remodelled in the 1990's Oldswick quarry contracts its rail traffic to the Norbeck Steam Railway who convey trains to & from the junction at Noyna Hill. A BR green class 37 patrols the complex.
Bringing empties in....
Leaving Lothersdale, the old goods yard was on the right, the Midland station buildings, signal box & goods shed have all gone.
Norbeck, now headquaters for the Norbeck Steam Railway, the former goods yard & shed now provide a somewhat cramped workshop facility.
Evoking memories of the 1960's version of the route as black 5 No 45110 prepares to begin the days work.
