Thanks for the missing assets. All correct now even the crow. I assume the Newc-York track is not needed but I can find it if necessary.

Hi Brendan

Firstly congratulations on a really "Superb Route" - after 5 Years it is real credit to you.

Unlike most others who have installed your Route I still have a few missing assets and I have installed everything as advised in your readme including Today's Missing Assets upload.

My missing Assets are :-

icepack\ice\lampenshein_white
icepack\ice\lampenshein_yellow
icepack\ice\lampenshein_blue
icepack\ice\lampenshein_red

The above are used in Numerous locations so if possible I would like to install these

newS\misc\scenery\vehicles\scania_gp
newS\misc\scenery\vehicles\scania_norlines
newS\misc\scenery\vehicles\scania_green
newS\misc\scenery\vehicles\scania_gbring-a
newS\misc\scenery\vehicles\scania_coca
newS\misc\scenery\vehicles\scania_coop
newS\misc\scenery\vehicles\scania_dachser
newS\misc\scenery\vehicles\scania_ica
newS\misc\scenery\vehicles\scania_lingegods
newS\misc\scenery\vehicles\scania_pao
newS\misc\scenery\vehicles\trailer_gp
newS\misc\scenery\vehicles\trailer_white

The above are not very important as they are road vehicles

Any assistance will be really appreciated.

Regards

Mike

I found ice's lamp glow items on a previous install, not sure where I got them now. Transportsteve gave a link for one lot of Scania vehicles .I think the others are on Rail-Sim.de ,news' 2 truckpacks
http://rail-sim.de/railsimnew/

http://rail-sim.de/railsimnew/index.php ... archresult
Best to type 'news' in the search box.
Or on his own site

Kuju\railsimulator\railnetwork\track\york-newc_track03.bin
This refers to the 'rusty' track which is not a default track, but track that was made by 'Rabid', and which installs into the Kuju folder with the other tracks and track rules. See http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... id#p976226. Unfortunately, it seems that this package is no longer available in the library. It installed into the Kuju folder which meant that when TS2012 was upgraded to TS2013, everything in the Kuju folder was deleted including third party assets. I used the rusty track mainly in the Cork yards and in a few other sidings at various placed in the route. Most users will probably not notice their absence. The file no. was 18604. If you happen to have that file, you can re-install it. On reading the 'read-me' document that came with the package, it would seem that 'rabid' imposed no restrictions as to how his files can be used and I will include it when I upload a supplementary file with the revised scenario for Limerick to Dublin. I will wait a few more days to see if there are other issues identified that should be fixed before up-loading this file.

Mike - you can get the missing icepack files at http://www.rail-sim.de/railsimnew/Spezi ... icepak.rar. Most, if not all the Scania trucks can also be obtained from the German site - http://rail-sim.de/railsimnew/index.php ... s-and-ocvn.

Hello Brendan,

I thought the rail pack had been updated by Rabid, I have this asset pack in my personal archives from the UKTS Library -

Hi,

I'm very excited about this route, just got Trainsim 2013 and I'm a native of Portlaoise so looking forward to driving around Ireland :)

As i've only just bought TS I don't have the class 66 and can't find anywhere to purchase it from? Can I just use the DMU instead? Or another of the preinstalled locos?

I bought the IOW expansion, downloaded all the other files in the readme and then installed everything that I had downloaded using the utilities. At least I I did....The route doesnt show up in the scenarios page and only appears in the free roam page, when I try to free roam I get a black screen then TS crashes out. I assume I'm missing something or didnt install it right, is there a quick guide to using the utilities anywhere and on how to actually get the scenarios to show up in the collections page?

Sorry for the newbie questions :)

Looks like you put a huge amount of effort into this so I'm very grateful for your efforts.

Hi PJclancy

Welcome to UKTrainsim. It looks like the Class66 is going to be an issue for new users of TS2013. I aliased the Class201 to the original Class66 which has now been withdrawn and replaced by a V.2 which has only just gone on sale. Its good value at Eur6.99 (50% off sale) as the old version of the Class66 is somewhat dated. However, I am now faced with a dilema. Do I change the alias to the new Class 66 or retain the former alias. I have yet to check if the new version is a direct replacement of the former version (i.e. installs in the same folder) or is in a new folder. Most likely it is the latter in which case, the re-aliasing of the Class 201 will be more complicated as I will probably also need to change the physics to better represent the characteristics of the Class201. While the two locos are mechanically identical, the gearing on the Irish version is much higher to permit a maximum speed ot 102 mph. The only part of the the Class 66 that I use is the Cab view and the adjusted engine simulation blueprint. The best solution is to make a Cab for the Class 201 to better represent the actual layout of the controls of a 201 which are quite different to the layout of the Class66 and this will be a priority for me now that the route has been released.

As to an immediate solution to the issue and in order to get the route to work, I would suggest that you obtain a copy of RWTools ( a new version has just been released - file 21454 ). Its free to use for the first 21 times - after that a small donation fee is payable. You can use that program to check what you are missing from the route. You can also use the scenario editor that comes with the program to substitute a default train for the Mk4.

Hi, the original railsimulator class 66/IOW pack should still be available - works just as well as the steam version! :)

I'm not selling it by the way! :) Just search for railsimulator

I have been following the development of this project for a while and having installed it this evening feel sufficiently moved to express my admiration for all the hard work. I've a few missing assets and I haven't sorted the rolling stock yet but I have just driven a Class 40 and a rake of Mk1's from Cork to Mallow - very good indeed!. I live near Cork and use Kent Station every day. I travel the route to Dublin at least once a month and this is very evocative of the real character of this line. A great achievement.

Hi Brendan

The more I drive on your Route the more I am enjoying It - It is an absolute "Masterpiece"

I bought the 3DTrains High Resolution Foliage Pack and it really does look the part on your Route.

Your Route runs perfectly on my Windows XP 32 Bit Set Up will all my setting on high with TSX enabled.

For the Record the only Assetts I am missing now which are all minor are :-

railx\Addon\heissluftballon
Brill\Addon\scenery\vegetation\plataners
Sunshinerene\sunshinerenzusatz\cars\tntvan
MikeAr\Assets\scenery\bridges\maguardrails
Developer\Addon\railnetwork\interactive\crates\lumber
RSItalia\Addon\railnetwork\interactive\container\ita_container_40ft_17
RSItalia\Addon\railnetwork\interactive\container\ita_container_40ft_08

I was a principal Tester for Making Tracks in the MSTS days and spent ages testing their Belfast to Dublin Route, Rolling Stock and Activities prior to it's release which was very good in it's day but I have to admit that your Route surpasses it Brendan.

Kindest Regards

Mike

Hi MisterWho

Thanks ever so much for those Links - I Searched everywhere and I couldn't find them mind you at my age of nearly 70 it is not surprising

I really don't know what I would do without the very valuable help on the Forum - it is really appreciated.

This only leaves the following Assets now to find but they may not be available anymore :-

Brill\Addon\scenery\vegetation\plataners
Sunshinerene\sunshinerenzusatz\cars\tntvan
MikeAr\Assets\scenery\bridges\maguardrails
Developer\Addon\railnetwork\interactive\crates\lumber

G'day to you Mike,

The last one can be obtained from the TrainSim library, you need to search for frghtdk2 by Richard Ham, under Rail Simulator, but, be careful as there are some .tgt and .cost files in the interactive folders which need deleting before you install them.

Mike Ar is Scandinavian, from Railworks Sweden, I think, unsure where those guardrails are though.

Brill is Spanish, the vegetation pack was in a freeware route asset pack, but, it wasn't a Spanish one I don't think, I'll have a look round and see if I can find 'em, I have a 6 pack of trees installed myself, so, they must be obtainable from somewhere.

EDIT: I found the pack on the Railworks Italia site - http://www.amicitreni.org/download/comm ... caaf141007

SunshineRene is German, zusatz is German for additional/addon, I'm sure he had a couple of repainted vans in an old asset pack belonging to one of the German freeware routes, can't remember which one now.

Why don't you have a look on the other big thread and see if the information is available - http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... n#p1603045
