So yeah, this is what I've been up to for the past few weeks...

For those who may not have been following this thread from the start, the revised track (and therefore platform) layout meant that I was faced with the prospect of building a new station model. Still a massive amount of work to do, but the overall shape is there.

Frankly anything will be better than the terrible default model, somehow made it just look empty!

Evan as a WIP model it looks much better than the old one, the scene at Paddington already looks very realistic and busy. :D

I haven't looked at this thread for quite awhile and just wondered how things are progressing?

Not had much of interest to show really, mainly track property work and filling in the gaps! I hope to move on to some new areas soon though.

Still working away at adding detail to the 373, the most obvious here being the gangway seals and the bogie detail. I've also chopped off the static nose cone and split it into a working coupler hatch for a bit of variety at North Pole. I'm trying to do as much as I can to this model before sending it back to Chris.

A couple of shots of the Eurostar, and then back on topic with a brief run past Old Oak and into London.

I agree it looks absolutely fantastic, such detail - I just hope my poor old machine will be able to cope with it.

Well done.

Can we have a close up of the Eurostars at North Pole? They look very nice, I can't wait to see them on HS1 as well as on this route. :D

Hello JB, i've not been following trainsim for many years now, but this is just what the doctor ordered! An extension of a line which should be Great by name and nature. This looks amazing, how far are you taking the line? I didn't really read the first post so i will when i am wide awake.

Are you taking the line towards Tiverton Parkway / Plymouth and Cardiff or just a certain distance? i think a simulator such as this can handle it. Also your Eurostar, i wouldn't be surprised if i see a future london to paris / brussels route.

Great work!!!! 8)

Thanks for the comments :) I have no plans to go quite that far yet, just Swindon for now and then probably on to Bristol later. We already have the rather brilliant Bristol - Exeter from Just Trains and I can't imagine I'd be able to keep up my motivation on a section that's already been done. If I did take the route as far as Plymouth it would be at a much later date, and probably done as a community project.

Lately I've mainly been staring at PDFs and getting the signalling as accurate as possible. I've also spent time super-detailing the Paddington-Old Oak area, since most of that section will be seen at a rather sedate 25-50mph. I'll do the same at Reading on the approaches to the other stations most likely to be seen at low speed

errrrrrrr Wow.

Coming along nicely JB
For disclosure, I am affiliated with a third party developer however, I do not know anything about any future releases unless I'm working on them and even then, I'd be breaking years worth of built up trust to say anything about it ;-)
