Matt has sent Antony and me the file to the route. As always I'm working steadily on my small list of routes (made shorter by a brave soul who appears to be taking on the Cambrian Coast  ), but I'm happy to work from Bridgnorth towards Arley, where I believe Matt has drawn a line across the cab for each of us to stand   He's done the scenery to Kidderminster and Antony is doing the signalling.

As with my own routes, once each location is visually pleasing enough, I'll show progress, starting with Bridgnorth.

Signalling is proceeding well I have Kidderminster and Bewdley all in and testing these bits is under way I do have to get some custom Signals sorted though for a few places, but overall everything seems to be in order.

However Matt I must say I am a Little Disapointed......................after all the hype with this that There are No Elephants or Zebras at the wildlife park a big disapointment  :D :D

Just a Couple of shots to get the feel, some items may be placeholders until assets are created:

Hi All

It gives me huge pleasure to drop these here: :D

A massive thanks to Richards Scott!! A lot of station furniture and other bits and pieces need adding to compliment his work but still, I'm sure you get the idea!

Wow matt richard has done a cracking job there, they will really finish off Kidderminster, nothing much to report I have had a load of work come in this last few days but slowly working towards Bridgenorth, will post some more shots when I am happy with them.

Oh wow, thats fantastic work! I love that the old WH Smithy's shop is included too! Great progress, the custom assets really do help bring it to life. Sadly for you and your modellers Matt the valley has an awful lot of unique buildings, but you're well on your way! Can't wait to see Kiddy railway museum, the Pickford's building and Sainsbury's of Highley (the engine house!) haha!

Thanks for sharing progress,
Andy.

Well, that looks fantastic! The SVR was my first and favourite addon route for MSTS, which still has alot of charm, and it looks like your team is going to exceed it, Matt. :)

(PS. A jubilee should be on a low-loader pretty soon to your GCR. )

Looking good Matt, nice to see custom models for the buildings on SVR, always hard to create a accurate representation of a preserved route since they do have such unique buildings situated on the lines. GCR showed what custom assets can do for a route so I'm sure SVR will be equally good when finished.

On a plus side we seem to be getting rolling stock which is covering alot of the preserved fleets, with the mk 1s covered, the P3s, the mansuells and GWR coaching stock being covered by gopher from these forums we can finally, nearly 4 years on since the intervention of railworks as a product actually have correct stock for these freeware routes. Another plus is we'll have a manor to ride along SVR at some point aswell from Justtrains, which I think could be in the next 2-3months after they get the scottish ECML out the door and the pendolino advanced. Plus they also have the patriot in the works to so were atleast starting to get those areas filled out.

From the shots so far anyway, it looks like I'll be enjoying this one as much as I've enjoyed the GCR :D

Cheers Crump! And thanks to the rest of you too! It's lovely to have the P3's and soon we'll have the collett's, so, Severn Valley Limited will be created. Perhaps we can get the headboard made?

@ Andy - The museum is in. Just need to improve the scenery around it! Which is the Pickfords building? Hopefully we will get Sainsbury's  done soon as well!

Regards

Matt,

The Pickford's building is what is now the Carriage and Wagon workshop at Kidderminster, in between the SVR platform and the NR running lines. It was previously used as a distribution depot by Pickford's removals, hence the term!

OK guys. I've got everything up and running now I think. (only installed it all this morning)

Did a test load of the included free roams and just one point that doesn't really bother me, these free roams use certain stock items, namely the DT Mk1s and MT P3 coaches, which I don't have on my system, but I was happy to see the route loaded fine with a little patience, same goes for the decals, I'm glad they are largely in place correctly.

With that sorted, I've created a free roam at Bridgnorth, in order to begin scenery work from there to Arley.

One last thing - I know I'm not to touch the track, however is there a reason for areas such as the trackwork of Bridgnorth MPD being missing?

Just something I'd mention, however that shouldn't stop me from at least having a little tinker.

Just gone down the line as far as Arley in 69523 (1744) to ensure all is correct and at least this locomotive out of the current fleet is ideal for testing. No floating couplings so far. :)

Following my above niggles (not serious ones mind, it loads fine), it looks like scenery at Arley is largely complete beyond the (non-existent) bridge and station, so that's out of bounds. Am I to complete the station area or has Matt done it?

I think that and the fact about missing trackwork earlier are my only points to mention. Bearing those in mind I'll start soon.
